Stayed at the Edenhurst for two nights, the room was was comfortable, clean and tidy. Our room over looked the sea and the view was stunning. The breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. Cindy and Bill were excellent hosts, made us feel welcome on arrival and were very helpful during our stay. We stayed at the Edenhurst a few years ago, before Cindy and Bill took over, the transformation is exceptional, it is well worth the 3 stars they display. We will definitely stay there again.

I stayed at the Edenhurst for a few days. I didn't really know which guest house to choose because there are so many. But the Edenhurst caught my eye. I rang the bell and Bill and Cindy were very welcoming. The breakfast was AMAZING !!! Also the service was great. It didn't take long for my breakfast to come. There was a large variety as well. The room was clean and I didn't wake up once. The view was outstanding as the beach was over the road and the town was just a minute away. I liked that they gave you permits so we could park easily. Well done Bill and Cindy keep it up. ( I will be back soon )

This is the second time we have stayed here this time we came for three nights and enjoyed it just as much as our last visit at the same time last year, Bill and Cindy make you very welcome we had a family room and the room was lovely and spacious, clean and tidy and we had no complaints, Breakfast was lovely and a good variety of food. The B&B is in a great location, you can walk into town for a short walk and being on the sea front you have great views.
You get a parking permit and there is never any problems with parking spaces, we tend to park the car and leave it till we go home as it's nice to not have to drive and there is so much to do you really don't need to drive, the local bus service is good and we use that as our little boy loves to ride on the bus.
I would recommend this B&B I have stayed in lost over the years and this is one of the best so far.

We stayed at the Edenhurst for a few days break in mid August. We checked it out on Trip Advisor prior to booking, but were disappointed upon arrival. The photographs of the Edenhurst were obviously taken a few years ago, so dont be fooled by them like we were. Our room was overlooking the sea front and had a balcony, which was very nice, but beware of the window cleaner who arrives mid week with no warning.....we had to make a mad dash to close the balcony window and make ourselves descent...could of been very embarrassing!!

I have to say the staff were lovely and friendly, and very helpful, also very informative about the local area and attractions, which is always good. The rooms, however, were in great need of some TLC, they were shabby but were clean. The shower cubicle was very small....I am an average size 14 and struggled to move around once in....so anyone any larger would definately be in trouble. The rest of the guest house was clean, but also in need of some TLC. The dining room was also very clean but very cramped. I wasn't awfully impresssed with the full english breakfast, but obviously my tastes may differ to others.

All in all a disappointing stay.......Sorry :)

If this customer checked our photographs on Trip Adviser where we have only one picture of the front of the building which is a Grade II Georgian listed building which can not be altered. So her comments about the Trip Adviser pictures being a few years old is right but can not change and if anybody vists our website, apart from a change of bed linen and one or two pieces of furniture in bedrooms, the photographs are 100% up to date. This customer commented about the window cleaner arriving midweek with no warning. Our window cleaner who has cleaned our windows for the past 4 years only comes on a Friday (not midweek - day they were leaving). He can see from the pavement if any windows are open and always notifies us before they start work so that we can close the windows or notify the occupants that the window cleaners are about. They never come before 8.30am when most of our customers are up, ready and coming down for breakfast. All windows are cleaned firstly from the street with a brush and a long pole and this is why they notify us to close all windows. We have just finished a three year refurbishment of the whole building and have had nothing but good comments about the condition of the whold building. All our shower cubicles are of a standard 800ml size and we have had a variety of sized people using our showers and no one has ever commented about the showers being too small. Our full english breakfast consists of a choice of cereals, tea, coffee, juice, toast with butter and a choice of jam and marmalade and the fried breakfast consists of sausage, egg, bacon, beans, tomatoes and mushrooms which fills the breakfast plate. In our previous reviews we have only had one unfavourable comment on our breakfast in 4 1/2 years.

I felt I had to write a review for the sake of balance as I am pretty amazed that the other reviews are quite so complimentary about this accommodation.

The pluses are the sea view and overall cleanliness.

However, we found the bed to be cheap, highly uncomfortable and too small for two people to sleep comfortably. We tossed and turned all night and my boyfriend woke with bad neck pain.

The bed linen was cheap and nasty with an awful incontinence sheet underneath. The rooms weren't exactly comfortably furnished but they were functional.

The breakfast was cleanly cooked but as other reviewers mention, nothing special and not a generous portion.

The overall interior is a bit tired looking but so are many of the restaurants etc. in Weymouth so I imagine a lot of the guest houses are.

This in itself wouldn't be such of a issue had we not been £85 per night. I really didn't feel this represented value for money, considering only a few weeks ago we stayed in a really outstanding place in St Helens in Jersey for only a few pounds more.

Had the rate been in line with what was offered, I would rate this guest house as average but for £85 a night, I would have to say it was poor.

All beds are standard double size beds and the oldest bed we have is about 18 months old and most of our beds are less than 12 months old. All our bed linen is of normal hotel standard quality with normal mattress protectors and not incontinence sheets. We can not find any records of this customer staying at this establishment. She says she stayed September 2011 and posted the review on the 1st September 2011. Our full english breakfast consists of a choice of cereals, tea, Coffee, Juice, Toast with butter and a choice of jams and marmalade and the fried breakfast consists of sausage, egg, bacon, beans, tomatoes, and mushrooms which fills the breakfast plate. In our previous reviews we have only had one unfavourable comment on our breakfast in 41/2 years so we just wonder what this customer normally has for breakfast to say that our breakfast is not a generous portion. This so called customer seems to have a grudge against Weymouth saying that she imagines that many of the Restaurants and Guest Houses in Weymouth are a bit tired looking especially as we have just finished a three year refurbishment of the whole building and have had nothing but good comments about the condition of the whole building. Her final comment of a rate of £85 per night is a little bewildering as we have no rooms at that rate. It makes us wonder if this customer has stayed with us at all. During July, August and September we have a minimum 2 nights stay so if this customer stayed with us at this time why did they not notify us of their complaint in order for us to take action to remedy their problems.

Bill & Cindy were great hosts. Gave us loads of info of the area. The rooms were bright and very clean. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stop in Weymouth. Best guest house we have stopped in and we have stopped in alot. even my 11 yr old daughter was impressed. Better than a hotel. Only thing to complain about is we couldn't stop longer.

Room Tip: Try and get a sea view room. Worth it.

I stayed here on a stag do at the end of July. There was 24 of us and we booked out the whole B and B. Its in a great location on the sea front. Those who drove were all given parking permits and we were all able to park nearby. You can load/unload luggage right outside the B and B which is great.

The B and B is in great condition and my room must have recently been redone as it was all very nice, comfy beds and a large bathroom. The quilted toilet roll was a real treat!!!

The owners and staff were all very helpful. We were even presented with a disc of photos Bill had taken during our stay which was a nice touch Only a couple bad point, Shower was cold when I showered in the early evening, but was fine in the morning. Great selection of cereals and nice fresh orange juice but the cooked element was a bit on the small side.

If you are planning a trip to Wetmouth I would definately recommend a stay here.

Room Tip: Try to get a sea view, its awesome!
