“Welcoming Hotel in an Excellent Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013

I have just returned from a wonderful stay at Eastney Hotel and cannot recommend it enough.
It has a real home from home feeling and the owners Louise and Alan cannot do enough to make you feel welcome and make every effort to make sure you have a comfortable stay.
Breakfast which is always freshly cooked to order by Alan cannot in my opinion be bettered by any of the larger hotels and he takes great pride in ensuring it is of top quality. Louise is such a delightful waitress especially when taking your order using the best visual aid I have ever come across!!!!!
Rooms are spotlessly clean with tea coffee and chocolate making facilities available. The bed I slept in was soooo comfy with very soft sheets and pillows.
I would therefore recommend Eastney unreservedly and could not see how it could be bettered by any other hotel in the area.

Room Tip: Room 15 has an en suite bath and shower and has wonderful views over Weymouth.

I recently booked this Hotel for myself and three friends for a girls weekend. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment I rang to book and the numerous emails to the time we checked out. On arrival (early afternoon), Louise and son Oliver were extremely warm and welcoming. As our rooms were ready we were able to check in. Alan introduced himself later that day and he is such a lovely man, very funny and couldn’t do enough for us.

We had two twin rooms which were lovely, clean and well presented, fluffy white towels & toiletries in the bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable, tea/coffee/hot chocolate provided in the room. The room could do with a little updating and maybe have lino in bathroom rather than carpet. Unfortunately the TV in our room lost its satellite connection so kept loosing channels, although we didn’t go away to watch TV its always nice to have some background noise whilst getting ready or chilling after a day out sightseeing.

We made use of the communal games/living room, with comfy sofas, TV and the Honesty Bar, where you can help yourself to drinks and add to your bill & virtual Alan was there to watch over you.

Breakfast is served between 0730-9:00am, this was nice and relaxed, Alan and Oliver were the perfect hosts and breakfast was great which included: toast, cereal, fruit and yogurt, full English option, made to order, although I did have scrambled eggs the second morning, all freshly cooked and well presented.

The location was ideal to explore both the town of Weymouth and surrounding area, 10 minutes walk from Brewer’s Quay & the centre.

Overall we would definitely return as Alan, Louise and Oliver made it feel like a home from home.

I have never felt so relaxed in a hotel as I did here. They was great with my children and very friendly. We had a family room wish was lovely, very clean, big enough for us.

Close enough to the beach and town.

All other guest were very friendly to. Spending our time at the hotel made a trip extra special and we are defiantly going back soon :-)

My family had 3 rooms reserved in this wonderful B&B as a special family treat. The stand-out feature that makes this B&B deserving of an "Excellent" rating has to be the family that run it: Alan and Louise are the most welcoming hosts you could hope for, which really made the whole experience feel like a home from home.
Our rooms were all lovely, spotless and with gorgeous views across Weymouth and the toiletries in the bathrooms were a nice touch (especially for those of us who forgot shampoo!) The beds were also very comfortable, which was much appreciated after a long day on the beach ;) There are so many nice touches in the rooms and the hotel itself, from the Honesty Bar in the communal games/living room to the scallop shells used as soap dishes (which Alan finds when he goes diving) to the tea/coffee/Galaxy hot chocolate provided in the room.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious: Louise was the perfect host, and Alan and his son cooked up a storm in the kitchen. I very much enjoyed my luxuriously milky porridge, and I was assured by the rest of my family that the cooked breakfast was one of the best ever! The breakfast menu itself is another quirky addition, but I won't ruin the surprise.
The location is also fantastic, because it meant we didn't need to use our cars to get into Weymouth, and could all enjoy a glass of wine (or three) at dinner in town (we went to The Dining Room, which I also recommend and have reviewed!)
I shall definitely return to this cosy B&B, and have to confess to being very pleasantly surprised by Weymouth as a town too! Alan and Louise are clearly in the right jobs :)

First and foremost I have to say that the owners, Alan and Louise are two of the most hospitable and accommodating proprietors I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They are obviously in the right business.
The hotel (more like a large b&b) itself is a Victorian property located down the end of a residential road, approximately fifteen minutes walk from the old harbour and town. This meant we parked the car up for the weekend and didn't use it again until we left, very convenient if you want to partake in a glass or two around Weymouth.
The rooms are ample, clean and relatively spacious. We had a family room which consisted of one double bed and two single beds and were more than comfortable. However, apart from sleeping, changing and showering we were hardly in there.
Breakfast in the morning was nice and relaxed. Served between 730 & 9am it gave plenty of time to get up and ready (we have young boys so no choice anyway). The breakfast is cooked fresh by Alan with Louise front of house. The food was the usual fair, ie full English and cereal, toast, fruit etc, but was prepared to order however you wanted it. As for the quirky menu, I'll let find out for yourself.
Overall we were very pleased with our stay.
Putting on my "hotel inspector" hat. Lovely Victorian property which would benefit from a bit of sympathetic updating in places. With a bit of investment it could easily be a five star establishment.

A very comfortable stay in a most welcoming Guest House/B&B. Spotlessly clean room, quiet location, close to the Centre, easy parking - and an excellent breakfast. Also liked the "honesty" bar which was well stocked and access to wifi was a bonus.
Thank you!

What a lovely, lovely place to stay. We were firstly greeted by Alan who was very accommodating and very friendly. Our room was perfect. Beautiful views, comfy bed, and a very clean bathroom. We stayed with our son and the travel cot was up and made when we got to the room. In the morning we had a fantastic freshly cooked breakfast by Alan, and our order was taken by the lovely, Louise.
The hotel is not far from the town and the gorgeous beach.
Nothing is too much when you stay at Eastney. Louise and Alan are a great couple who have created a superb home from home feel within the hotel.
Will definitely be booking up again!
