Excellent location right on the seafront, you couldn't be nearer. Fab breakfast and clean room, tea, coffee and biscuits. agree that rooms are dated but we did not pay much and it served its purpose, clean rooms. Make sure you check with the hotel if you have difficulty with stairs ....there are plenty of them if your room is upstairs. Free parking right outside the hotel in the evening and before 10am which is a bonus.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view

Stayed a couple of nights for the Olympic sailing and for one night this week. Requested the same room on the top floor because of the fantastic sea view. Lovely to wake up to the sound of the waves slushing onto the beach, no sounds of traffic because it's at the end of no through-way road. Peaceful but within walking distance of all shops, beach etc...
The rooms at the top are compact but have everything you need, and the owners pay attention to detail such as the biscuits and bottles of water.. And the fan which was really appreciated! Spotlessly clean, fresh and comfortable accommodation. Downside? 52 stairs to climb if you stay at the very top... Good way to burn the calories off from the tasty full English breakfast! Would stay again.

A very clean hotel, and very convenient for all the attractions that Weymouth has to offer.
Rooms ok, but a little dated. Breakfast was excellent, with lovely sea views. Would certainly stay here again if we visit the area.

A comfortable room with a sea view.
Great value for money, very friendly landlord Tony, even played my fav music for me in the mornings!

Tasty breakfast.

Yes it's fairly basic but it had all I needed and more.

No request was too much.

Will be back.

I stayed 4 nights here during a visit to Weymouth while I explored and hiked sections of the Dorset Coast Path. Tony is an exceptional host, helpful and accommodating. He was very helpful in orienting me to the area and printed information off the internet for me. I had room #10 on the very top floor. The climb up all the stairs was well worth it and at 40 pounds/night a terrific bargain. The room was small, there was no light over the mirror by the sink, and the toilet and shower were located in two nearby rooms just outside the door. But the view out the window, with the ocean and seafront only 100 yards away made it worth it. The in-room amenities provided were very good and included non-usual perks like hot chocolate and cookies. Very few places provide guests with bottled water, but Tony provided two bottles each day of my stay, a thoughtful gesture appreciated by a hiker like myself. The cooked breakfast was excellent and Tony and his wife provided a wide range of options (e.g. yogurt and a choice of 8 different cereals). I stayed in 13 different B & B's or hotels during my month-long visit to England, and this was one of the best considering the very reasonable price and the room and breakfast provided.

This was a friendly little B&B with all the essentials. Décor dated, double room small but comfortable. Breakfast average. If all you want is somewhere comfortable and clean to stay with the basic breakfast then this is the place to go. Facing the sea front, end terrace. Minimal parking, may have to park a few streets away. Friendly landlord. The place could do with a simple tidy up and face lift to make it an even better place to stay and encourage you to go back.
Some of the towels smelt as if they had been rinsed rather than had a proper wash....what a shame!

Room Tip: perhaps a sea view room was better, but we had a room at the back as this was all that was left.

Myself & a friend stayed in the Windsor Hotel in July for her birthday.
Plus points:
- The location is great; on the sea front in a quiet area, walking distance to station & main street
- The owner is friendly & accommodating
- Breakfast is fresh & plentiful
- Loved the cute puppy!
Downside:
-The room was very dated & overlooked a wall
- The close proximity to the other rooms meant we were woken up when our neighbours came in
- The shower was tiny
-It's a B&B not a hotel
All that said we had a lovely weekend but as there are a lot of B&Bs in Weymouth some money needs to be spend to bring the Windsor Hotel up to a good standard to match it's competitors.
