Our second stay at Fox Crossing was absolutely worth while. Rosemary is a superb host, with superb Breakfasts and always ready to give advice on what to do in the area. The accommodation being absolutely clean and having a lounge to ourselves, where we could spend our evenings relaxing after days spent out walking and exploring the area, was perfect.
We can recommend Fox Crossing to anyone and will definately be back next time we are in the area :)
Rosemary and the way she treats her guests, perfect. We have been twice and are looking forward to another visit soon. Keep up the good work rosemary and hubby.Chris & Elaine
I like peace and quiet cleanliness friendliness and comfort. We got all of this and more from Rosemary at Fox Crossing.
Rosemary does a wonderful breakfast and is very knowledgeable on the area, giving us very good directions and help.
If you are visiting this area, book this B & B, you will not be disappointed. We will certainly book again if we are in this area.
Thank you so much Rosemary..
A very enjoyable stay with a pleasant host; quality accommodation and great food.
Fox Crossing is B & B accommodation for just one pair of guests, within walking distance of the sea front and just a couple of miles from Weymouth centre – a nice walk along the sea front is somewhat further taking about 45 minutes.
Noted as self-contained the accommodation is actually the front rooms of the property accessed using the front door as a sole entrance, as the proprietor uses the side entrance, near to the back of the bungalow. A small porch leads to an inner hall with three doors: to the left – the bedroom; to the right – lounge; forward – to the owner’s accommodation.
The bedroom is just about big enough for the king size bed, which was very comfortable and gave a pleasing goodnights sleep – the sea air may well have helped! The bathroom large with a shower cubicle and quality accessories – although the shower control was quite stiff. A tiny bath mat was a surprise.
The lounge is of very large size, sofa seating for six, with a notice saying only guests (max 2) allowed to use the facilities; Modern TV, with good reception on limited Freeview channels, and DVD – not tried. A table for two, for breakfast, is set at one end of the room. Wifi has low speed (only 1.2Mb/s download and 0.4Mb/s upload when we were there), but is adequate for normal use – and included in the price.
Breakfast is brought by Rosemary, accessing the B & B accommodation via the forward door in the inner hall, with a knock first. A great choice of: Full English; Continental or Vegetarian is offered, along with orange juice; cereals; fresh fruit & yoghurts followed by toast & jam/marmalade.
At over £90 per night – through Trip Advisor – in the middle of winter, I did not feel that this accommodation was cheap (!) BUT well worth it. Thank you Rosemary.
From the minute we arrived at Fox Crossing we were treated like one of the family by Rosemary, who is a fantastic host. The accommodation was impeccable and to have a lounge to ourselves made everything so much more relaxing. It was great to be able to chill out in the evening after a days outing. Breakfast was absolutely superb and again served in our private lounge. We would recommend Fox Crossing to anyone and would definitely stay again when we visit the area.
My husband and I stayed at Fox Crossing for 3 nights, what can I say, fabulous property, spotlessly clean, super comfy bed and delicious breakfasts. We had our own lounge to relax in with lovely sofas, large TV, small fridge with fresh milk and tea and coffee making facilities. Rosemary was a fab host, friendly, helpful and on call if needed. Excellent!
This was our third visit to this excellent B&B. Rosemary really is the perfect host and does everything in her power to make you feel welcome, comfortable and well fed with her amazing breakfasts. The accommodation is so clean and beautifully furnished with everything you could possibly need. The private lounge is definitely a luxury and having your own front door and the freedom to come and go at will is an added bonus.
Thank you Rosemary for a fantastic break (despite the weather), hopefully we will be back before too long
