Small park with cafe, castle ruins interesting but quite small, free though! Grass below gardens was a bit muddy.

Stopped off here while on a walk on the coast path between Wyke Regis and Weymouth. Lovely gardens and views.

We stopped here for 15 minutes purely for a photo opportunity. My 9 year old enjoyed the ruins just a shame a few locals seem to think the castle ruins are a local skate park so we found ourselves dodging bikes and scooters. Took the photos we wanted and left. There was a small cafe which seemed popular but was too chilly for us to be sat outside so we headed back to our caravan for lunch instead.

As always I have to go and see the castle as I was brought up near here. This time with some funding they have made it possible to go inside the castle and read about it which was lovely. The only downside was that there were a group of people there who obviously though it was fine for their children to run and climb any where they wanted to including over the barriers. Very noisy and dangerous.

This hidden gem is out on the outskirts of Weymouth, with lovely views of the sea. Sandsfoot Castle which you can walk around. Free..There is a cafe also but not sure if it open during the winter. Always visit in the summer. Lovely gardens and benches to sit and admire the views. Before you get to The gardens there is SandsFoot beach.Small beach that recently had new steps erected funded by the local community. For many years unexcessible due to dangerous state of steps. Sandsfoot is on the way to Wyke Regis and Portland. Ask a local or maybe where you are staying could help. this is as its hard to find But well worth the visit. Take your swim wear as beach is sandy and safe. Hope this review has helped.
