Description: We, at our National British Pie Award winning Handmade Pie & Ale House are setting out to create the most premium of pies and to serve the most traditional, tastiest constantly changing ales, of which we always have some local and some from various parts of the country. We now have up to six to choose from and you are always welcome to have a FREE try before you buy!! We are proud to have our beautifully renovated old restaurant / bar where you can sit, enjoy and take in the charming surroundings whilst being looked after by our lovely caring staff and you can eat drink and be merry. Our pies are lovingly made by us, by hand, in our open-plan pie kitchen (where you can also see them being made!) With our homemade pastry and homemade fillings, no two pies are ever the same. We are constantly making our pies fresh from a selection of over 38 different flavours - we even make our own low calorie 'smart pies' and of course several vegetarian options. Also, if for some reason you don't fancy one of our multi award winning pies, we even have a NON PIE menu, which, believe it or not is called the 'We Don't Just Do Pies' menu! This has an ever changing variety of good old home cooking favourites and specialty boards, such as a meat & cheese sharer, our own crispy chicken wings, our own homemade gooey Brie Wedges in Panko breadcrumbs and 1/2 a rotisserie chicken on a board! Plus good old proper relaxing Sunday lunches, with roast leg of lamb, aged Scottish beef, stuffed rolled crispy belly pork etc. Not hungry? Alternatively, if you prefer just come and enjoy a drink in our beautiful bar and just have a good old piece of free hospitality on the side.......

“Great food, lovely staff and brilliant atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2012

Popped in for a quick bite to eat on a Sunday afternoon and just didn't want to leave. A fabulous little pub restaurant with really amazing REAL food. A really great variety of real ale and a good selection of wines compliment the chilled out atmosphere with great background music. The pub looks smart from the outside and is superbly decorated inside. The whole place was spotless from the open kitchen upstairs to the lovely loos down! Difficult to choose between the interesting and delicious pie menu and the alternative menu so took guidance from the friendly staff still too much choice so will definitely be back! Really glad now that hubby occasionally works in Weymouth.

“Great staff, great food, great drink, great atmosphere: in short it's just, well, great!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2012

As a big fan of the pie van, I've been to this place a couple of times a week ever since it opened at the start of September and I've never once been disappointed. The food is superb, from the incredible handmade pies with their melt in the mouth pastry to the delicious 'we don't just do pies' menu. A great and regulalrly rotated selection of real ales complements the food perfectly, but a good selection of spirits and wines will suit all tastes.
The atmosphere and the staff are brilliant. The music is chilled, comforting and instantly puts you at ease, as do the friendly and jovial staff members. The decor is rustic but also classy, with the original wooden beams adding the feal of a 'genuine' pub. I've felt so instantly comfortable and welcome in a pub before.
Prices are very reasonable and, given the quality of the food, perfectly justified. This is a business that cares about itself and its clientele and new ideas, the use of social media and regularly updated menus means that it never feels stale or uninvolved. Whether you are new to Weymouth, just visiting or local, you owe it to yourself to come here.

Recently opened resturant. Great thought gone into it.Excellent food and very friendly staff. We also had a sharing platter -varied and tasty. The whole place was spotless. It was miles better than the other resturants we visited in Weymouth who had higher ratings.Go and try it even if only to see the fancy urinals and taps!

“Great Value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

We recently experienced a great evening at the band new pub/restaurant in Weymouth close to weymouth Station. An unusual sharing platter first course for our party of 4 was great, cold meats, cheeses, olives and various breads. Followed by the pies.... an amazing selection all served with flavoured Mash and Peas. We will be back and are busy recommending this great new restaurant to our friends
