This quiet pub is down a side street and easy to over-look but well worth a visit. It was about the same price as the Wetherspoon's but the food was so much nicer, I had a mixed vegetable crumble with new potatoes and hubby had the "burger of the day" with chips. Both meals were tasty. Very good value for money (£16 for 2 main meals with generous portions and a beer and soft drink).

When we visited here they had run out of most of the drinks and the till was not working. The food however was reasonably priced and was quite good. The landlord seemed cheerful. I would visit here again
