Just back from a short break at the Hotel Rex. What a lovely stay we had! Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. The food was fab! The staff were fantastic, especially John, the manager, who really made our stay special. So if you are thinking of staying in Weymouth, STAY HERE. You won't regret it!!

Room Tip: We had a large family room overlooking the sea. Lovely!

Stayed at the hotel for two nights, to celebrate my aunties birthday. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially "John boy" who made my aunties birthday so special. The food was lovely and good value for money, and the location made it a perfect stay. Would love to stay again, and would recommend to others!!

We arrived here for a dinner one evening.... We decided to go for a nice meal and WOW I am so glad we did!! I can honestly say it was the most delicious value for money meal ! It was succulent, juicy, tender and delicious!! We would recommend the food to anyone and they had an offer on two courses for £12.95!! The staff were so friendly and helpful. You sit in the lounge bar upstairs, where they take your order, then they come and collect your drinks and show you to the table when the food is ready. After the scrumptious tasty meal, you can take your drinks back up to the lounge bar where you can relax with coffees or more drinks. All and all an amazing night 5* service, 5*Food there really isn't anything you can complain about.

Room Tip: Beautiful Sea Views!!! Beach Location

Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights with a group of 28. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable! The night porter Ray was amazing, really lovely person to stroll in to at 3am! The rooms were cleaned daily, towels changed etc. The food was really nice, there was always something for everyone. The only downside was that our sea view room was really draughty on windy days.....other than that a perfect stay....THANK YOU HOTEL REX!

My geography department at Coventry University had organised a trip to Weymouth for the week and decided to stay at Hotel Rex. There was about 35 of us students in total. The rooms were excellent, with ensuite bathrooms and complimentary teas and coffees along with shower gels etc. The rooms were cleaned to a great standard everyday with new towels. However the only problem I found with this Hotel was with the attitude of one of the waitresses named Magda. She was very rude and unwelcoming, providing minimal customer satisfaction. My colleagues also noted the same problem and insisted on me writing this review. At one point I kindly asked if i could sit down next to a friend and she shouted demanding i sit at the back. Another time my friend (girl) kindly asked for some milk for her tea, and Magda was rude stating she gets it herself from across the room. There was also other incidences such as asking for extra bread and water where we were made to feel uncomfortable in asking. She would also make us feel rushed before finishing our meals. Magda was the only problem we had with this catering service. It seemed that she prioritized the other guests at the hotel and disrespected us because we were a large group of students. Although in reality our department had obviously brought the Hotel good business in a time off season, filling up the hotel along with good manners. However the rest of the waitering staff who were quite young around the same age as us were very kind and welcoming. One waiter named Meecha (sorry if i misspelled the name) was a very helpful young man and even made me a nice bacon, sausage egg sandwich to take away with me as I was in a rush to leave. The staff at reception were also very friendly and helped me greatly by allowing me to print some important documents for my projects. All in all, the majority of my friends on my course had a great stay at the Hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you.

Room Tip: The twin room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Some have baths, some just have the shower c...

Fantastic stay at the Rex Hotel - spacious, clean rooms with reception staff wonderfully friendly and happy to go out of their way to please! The night porter Ray was a dream, arriving back at the hotel in the early hours after a few (too many) drinks, Ray was a lovely, smiley face to come back to!

Thank you to everyone for looking after us University students :)

Room Tip: Sea view rooms tend to have cold draughts through the windows - put the extra blankets in the wardro...
