Stayed 1 night before a day trip to Guernsey.Front desk welcome was friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom were clean and nicely decorated, plenty of tea and coffee.
As leaving early did not have breakfast but dinner was excellent. Being a Sunday we had the Carvery, lots of choice and generous portions especially dessert bar. Must complement the waiting staff, there was a coach party of elderly guests and the staff really looked after them, carrying plates and assisting serve at the Carvery counter.
Did not use the pool but it was a good size and looked inviting.
Would stay again as in a good position for the town.

We "upgraded" to the more expensive rooms, not sure if that was good or bad - Good as I would hate to see the cheaper rooms, Bad because I cant see what I was paying for. Value is poor when the price we paid could have got us a half decent Hotel in London. Found the place easy enough, and there is amble free car parking. We walked into town but think you can get a bus - 15-20 mins by foot. No aircon in the rooms and the beds are standard doubles. We only had luke warm water at best in the morning for a shower - I didn't bother and went without. There is a pool, which looked nice and a hotel bar which was reasonably priced.
We had a ferry to catch early in the morning, we ordered a early breakfast - we got cereal some fruit and 2 pieces of toast, coffee and tea - so would recommend getting the non B and B rate if needing to shoot off early -

Its a place to sleep, just paid through the nose for it.

A requirement to visit Portland on business , and this Hotel was ideal
Great location close to town , plenty of parking ,
The room was of a good size , bed very comfy could easily slept on in the morning
Very quiet location. Breakfast gave a huge choice and all the hot food was HOT and fresh , something some Hotels do miss

Another very much appreciated touch in the room , plenty of milk for tea and coffee , some Hotels leave just a couple of milk cartons on the tray

All round great stay

Thank you

This was a really enjoyable visit to Weymouth staying in one of the best hotels I've yet encountered. The breakfast menu here is the finest selection I've ever known anywhere––utterly stunning! I also thought the attention to good service in matters like tea and toast couldn't be bettered. It would be hard to beat this! I certainly plan to come here again!

Room and bathroom was clean. Good size - plenty of storage and spare plug sockets. Use of pool was good - basic changing area. Very close to sea and town centre so able to walk into town to eat each evening. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered good selection. Would have liked to see more vegetarian options on the restaurant menu for evening meal. If you don't book direct with the hotel you do not get bottled water, free newspaper and discounted prices on meals.

Second visit to this hotel, we booked the two day spring special starting 16th May, bed, breakfast and dinner on one of the nights with bottle of wine. Arrived lunch time on the Friday too early for booking in so we had a sandwich lunch and a beer in the bar, the room was excellent, comfy big size bed, large bathroom with shower and bath, the power shower was wow! we took advantage of the facilities, using the pool, garden etc., the wife booked a treatment and had her nails done, brilliant food, great selection for breakfast, friendly helpful staff together with the great weather it was a perfect week-end, we will be back.

We arrived late in Weymouth , without a hotel reservation and took a chance on the Rembrandt : this is not the best way to get a room as you find yourself paying 'top whack' . If you have gone prepared to use the swimming pool, fitness suite etc. it is probably good value, and especially if the weather is poor, or you have children to keep occupied, but £142.50 is steep if all you require is bed and breakfast. The very pleasant young woman on the reception desk booked us in and asked if we would like to reserve a table for dinner , which we did, but when we went to the restaurant later it had not been booked down. After a short wait we were found a table and both of us enjoyed the meal, but have to say the ambience in the restaurant was akin to a works canteen. Some
dressing at the frosted glass windows would at least improve things a little.
The bedroom itself was spacious and clean, the en-suite appeared to have been re- tiled and was very smart, but unfortunately the toilet was stained which let it down.
The evening meal and the breakfast were both superb, and the staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. If you want a short stay and go prepared to use all the facilities this hotel will fit the bill but if all you want is an overnight stay, make sure you get a cheaper deal.
