Just had a very nice 2 night break with all the family. Seven adults and two babies. Staff friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Bar prices reasonable. The carvery was lush. Only chance a steak if you like yours very well done.

I stayed with my family for a short break and used the hotel mainly for access to the pool. The hotel is a little dated and expensive for the quality of the rooms.

In general the service was friendly, though it is a little annoying to have to queue to request your room key (you have to hand it each time you leave the hotel). It took 15 mins to obtain our key as there were several people checking in - the system needs to change.

The one big spoiler was the noise from a birthday party in one of the function rooms. The party was directly under the family rooms and the noise drowned out the TV and several complaints to the night manager failed to help. It went on until after midnight.

The day manager was more receptive to out complaints and refunded part of our accommodation costs. To continue our sleeping woes a family of herring gulls had nested on the roof and the young started screeching at each dawn. I know Weymouth will have seagulls, but not living under your hotel bedroom window - call pest control.

However, to top our late night there was a fire evacuation at 06:30 the following morning. The comedy of errors (not the hotels fault) was the various residents strolling out up to 20 mins after the bell sounded - over 40 did not bother to turn out.

The hotel responded well with breakfast being available from 7 instead of 07:30 to deal with the obvious rush.

The food was not that good with a very dated menu and carvery selection. The breakfast was very disappointing, as standards have declined since I stayed there on business. The eggs were either rock hard from being under the lights to long or slimy and undercooked. The hash browns needed to be cooked for a few minutes more as the potato was hard. The bacon was good and mostly crispy. Service for breakfast was proficient and prompt.

I don't think I could persuade my wife to stay again to avoid sleep deprivation.

on arrival at the hotel rembrandt we were delighted to find loads of parking places. the reception staff were very efficient and friendly. Our room was on the ground floor and very suitable as we had notified the hotel we had an elderly couple with us. My only faults with the room were creaking floorboards above us and we had a room with an adjoining door and could hear everything the people next door were saying. It would not put us off staying here again though.
The carvery restaurant had a good choice on the half board menu. Two or three roast meats and usually two alternatives with lots of fresh vegetables. We all enjoyed every meal the four nights we were there. Very good service also.
Theis hotel is only a few minutes walk from the seafront. The beach in the town centre was lovely with lots going on for children. Some nice shops here too!
Would most definitely return.

Room Tip: Request a top floor room as floorboards are noisy.

We stayed for the Bank Holiday weekend in August, we arrived at the hotel at 12 0 clock and our room was ready so were able to check in much earlier than expected. The room was lovely , I was very impressed that both my children had 'proper' beds and not put you ups or sofa beds.
The pool and faciities were fantastic and children thoroughly enjoyed their daily swim!!
Breakfast was great with plenty to choose from.
The staff were friendly, approachable and very helpful. We will definately be visiting again.

Stayed here in August for a short weekend. The staff is very profesional and friendly and breakfast was good too. The pool was the main reason for our booking in this Hotel and it was also nice. Only but was the rooms and decor, all very clean but very dated I would give this a better review if it was refurbished, but as it stands it is great value for money. Would reccomend for a short stay.

Yet, another year has gone by and we have now returned from our usual summer break at the Rembrandt. This was our 20 th year for us to stay at the Hotel and now it’s like coming home as we know so many of the staff personally. It is because of the continuing high standard of comfort and good food together with the relaxed atmosphere that makes us keep returning year after year.
My wife made a request for her favorite ‘Bread and Butter Pudding’ and the next night it was on the menu. This just goes to show to what extent the staff try to make the guests visits to the Rembrandt special. The rooms are cleaned to a high standard. Weymouth at this time of year is very busy and car parking is a problem. The Rembrandt is only a short walk from the front and cars can be safely left at the hotel. The only problem I have is the early alarm call from the local seagulls.

this was our second stay at this hotel and we weren't let down at all. our younger one has allergies to a number of foods so we'd prepared food for her which needed storage and heating the hotel staff were very accomadating and helpful. even speaking to other people in town and locals they straight away knew we were at this hotel as its the most talked about. the rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious.
