“Fabulous location very clean and friendly hotel”

We stayed here as a large family group for a birthday celebration, The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are spacious. The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. Location is fantastic literally 2 minute walk and you are at the harbour. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for one night with our young son as a stop off. Read the reviews on here which said it was quite dated and this is certainly true, it was clean tho!! Rooms are very spacious compared to what you would get in most hotels. We are a young couple and was easily the youngest people there by atleast 20years!!! Was full of old people! Rooms were very very hot, appeared to be no ventilation even when windows were open. Breakfast is terrible - arrived cold and like it had been sat for ages!! Although this isnt excessively priced in comparison to most hotels it is most definately overpriced for the quality and service you get, i would save your money and stick to a premier inn!! Will not be stopping again!

I stayed at the hotel for two nights. The hotel is very central and easy to find. The staff were delightful and very efficient. The bar was well stocked and breakfast was superb. My room at the front of the hotel was a little warm.

Room Tip: Can be a bit loud at the front of the hotel.

We stayed here for one night when sailing to Weymouth and not fancying sleeping on the boat.

Rooms are slightly dated but spotlessly clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was great and we got everything we asked for and more.

If you are a light sleeper, you might find the weekend street noise from the pubs and clubs a little on the loud side. Perhaps ask for a room at the back?

Recommended.

This hotel is extremely well located in the centre of Weymouth near to beach, cafés and Bars. The somewhat dated internal look and feel is more than made up for with the courteous and friendly staff, I can honestly say that all the staff from receptionist to cleaners and breakfast crew were genuine warm people. The room was very clean.

A first class budget hotel which was perfect for the two evenings we stayed. The telling point for me was the fact that the staff were helpful and humorous. The breakfast was good and the bar staff were particularly accommodating. It felt like a home from home.

Room Tip: rooms at the side of the hotel look out onto narrow streets and it can be noisy late at night and ea...

This is a nice friendly hotel in a good location. Our first impression was the warm welcome we had from the receptionist, with whom we had a pleasant chat. The other staff members we encountered were also friendly and helpful. The room itself was clean and comfortable and we had a quiet night. The view from the window was not exactly scenic and there was no shampoo supplied in the bathroom (I hadn't brought my own), but for a 2-star hotel I thought it was pretty good value. Can't comment on the food as we stayed only one night and didn't eat in the restaurant, and we skipped breakfast as we had to leave early - unfortunately breakfast is only from 8.30 to 9.30 which is not great for early birds, but they did offer tea, toast and cereal earlier if we wanted it. Anyway, all in all would definitely recommend the Crown as good value.
