“Great stay at the Letchworth”

The Letchworth

Once again we had a lovely holiday staying at the Letchworth,
at breakfast there was so much choice, even a home made quiche which was really tasty.
Parking was great at the rear of the Letchworth,
rooms clean & tidy as always but this year we had an extra bonus of a small fridge in the room ,
which was really handy for extra milk and cold drinks, nice view from our bedroom window
Geoff and Pam were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble,
we will be staying at the Letchworth next year and hope to stay many more years after that,
one more word to say Fab!

A belated review as we stayed during the Olympics sailing .... We booked about 9 months ago at a time when several calls were made to local hotels and b&bs. Reaction then was that, because of the Olympics and expected demand, either we could go on a list to be called once charge rates were decided, or that the rates quoted were unfeasibly high.
The reaction from Letchworth was different, with a straightforward attitude, no price hike and an ability to book there and then, so we did. Our family of four (6 and 8 year olds), arrived to a nice welcome and were shown to the two rooms on the top floor. This gave us and the children some independence, but reassurance of being next door. All was comfy and very clean, with a shared shower room and nice touches such as the fridge and bottled water provided. Our three night stay was good value, with no pretentions and all that could be asked for with excellent, good quality cooked breakfasts and very friendly and helpful hosts with a warm 'can do' attitude. Good to be able to park too. A good choice for us and if in Weymouth we'd certainly return.

Myself and my wife stayed at Letchworth Guest House for 3 nights at the end of Aug 2012 for a post holiday break....!! (recovery after a week in spain with the kids...!!). The standard of this place is excellent, the hosts (Geoff & Pam) are friendly and welcoming and always on on to assist or just chat..! The room was spacious enough for the 2 of us, airy, and comfortable, cleaned every day during our stay to a high standard. The location (5 min stroll to town, whilst beach directly opposite front door) is great and right on the sea front. The free parking available really is the icing on the cake with the only hardship (if you could call it that..!!) being the need to juggle spaces due to blocked vehicles (sorted over breakfast with fellow guests). the breakfast is excellent with fresh fruit, juice, cereal, cheese alongside the usual cooked breakfast on offer, just right to set us up for a days activities. We have already decided to return early next year...!!!

Room Tip: take room on middle floor, less stairs...!!

We stayed at Geoff & Pam's Guest House for 6 nights B&B. The welcome from Geoff on the day was friendly. Our 2nd floor front bedroom was very well presented with all the comforts of a larger hotel.

With a fridge in the room and bottled water provided on arrival this was a pleasant start to our stay. Breakfasts each day were good with a hearty 'Full English' available and plenty of choices for alternatives, all provided with Geoff's personal service and cooked perfectly by Pam.

The room was cleaned beautifully every day with regular changes of bedding, and the added touch of providing wine glasses in our room on a day that we'd gone out and left a bottle in the room was a lovely surprise.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay will will visit the Letchworth again

We booked this hotel at short notice and wondered what we would find. What an inspired choice. A very warm welcome. Well presented hotel and room. Cracking breakfast that kept us full till it was time for our evening meal. Would recomend this hotel and will certainly use it again if my wife and myself are in Weymouth.
Service of this kind is unfortunately in short supply in the hotel industry. Other hotels owners would do well to visit and get an idea what sort of service they should be offering. Thanks Geoff and Pam for making us feel so welcome. Dave & Nicola

e had a wonderful stay at the Letchworth Guest House with perfect hosts Geoff and Pam. The rooms were beautiful and spotless. The food was perfect, I have added photographs of our breakfast, which was a choice of smoked salmon to a full english. Geoff and Pam are extremely friendly and very guenine. Home from home is all I can describe. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Letchworth to anyone.
