I was staying in Weymouth for the week with my family (7 adults and 2 babies). Having fish and chips was one of the things we really wanted to do as we were on the coast. we originally were going to go into the Marlboro opposite The Old Harbour Fish and Chips, Upon entering the Marlboro we were told our buggies were not allowed although the restaurant was not even half full. It was not the politest way to be told we were not allowed the buggies, so we decided we would take our business elsewhere.
When entering The Old Harbour Fish and Chips the difference could not have been greater, we were welcomed into the restaurant side of the shop and having the buggies with us was no issue. The staff were extremely polite and helpful.
Within minutes we were asked if we wanted drinks and our food order was taken shortly after. When the food arrived it was lovely. The fish was very fresh and the batter lovely and crispy. We all enjoyed our meals, and left very satisfied.
I believe the cost was what you would expect for fish and chips, I would say it was neither expensive nor cheap. The service received was second to none, and upon visitng Weymouth again I will have no issues about going back.
