“Fab Sunday carvery!”
Reviewed April 1, 2013 via mobile

Booked here after reading fellow reviews on Trip Adviser for Easter Sunday lunch. We were not disappointed. Walked into a friendly pub which was very busy. Were seated quick and drinks orders taken within minutes. Decided on the carvery which was very popular. Lovely choice of three roast meats, beef, pork and ham. Roast and boiled potatoes. Roast parsnips and Yorkshire puddings. Broccoli and cauliflower bake, boiled carrots, stuffing, cabbage and plenty of gravy! Carvery hot plate was consistently topped up and everything was tasty and fresh. I asked for a slice of every meat and my plate was filled before I even put any vegetables on it! The portions are huge. Don't eat breakfast before you visit for lunch! A few of us decided to have a pud and we were not disappoint with them. All home made and delish. Banoffee pie was fab and the sundaes are an ice cream lovers dream. Very relaxed atmosphere and family friendly. Would highly recommend.

“Super Duper”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

My new husband Tim and i :) called at The Nothe twice during our weekend sta,y after being recommended by the landlady at The Warwick.
First visit was at Saturday Lunch,it was not crowded when we arrived which was after 2pm, lovely large room, comfortable and relaxed. We ordered a light bite and both had steak baguettes with onions and stilton....tender, tasty and large baguette, coleslaw and salad were both fresh and tasty. Bottle of chardonnay...very nice.
Sunday we booked at 3pm for the carvery, Tavern was full but still had a nice relaxed feel another bottle of chardonnay and the carvery was great, i only had the beef, my hubby had beef, pork and ham and it all was very tasty, great cauliflower cheese, generous portions, loved every bit.
Please visit you won't be dissappointed.....i have to mention the bar and serving staff....they are very friendly, would definately visit again.

“Fab and friendly!”
Reviewed February 9, 2013

My family and I visited the nothe tavern early Saturday evening for my sisters birthday meal. The staff were excellent, really friendly and they could not do enought for my young son and niece (ages 2 and 3). Food was lovely and enjoyed thoroughly by all. The children's meal was quite big so easily shared between 2 little ones! Staff were so accommodating which makes it such a bonus when trying to entertain little ones through a meal. Reasonable prices too. Thank you to the staff for making our evening so pleasurable and we will definitely be visiting again!
