We walked around Weymouth town centre before crossing the river where we found a number of nice looking restaurants and cafes. We chose to have lunch at The Crows Nest in Hope Square. It seems they do Spanish Tapas and such but we opted for a smoked Salmon omelette and prawn panini. The food and the service was great. Would definitely try an evening here in the future too.

We arrived on spec on the Saturday evening of the bank holiday and although busy they managed to clear a table for us. There is not a huge choice of tapas but everything you could want was on there. We ordered the calamari and potatoes with aioli which was divine apart from the batter being quite heavy and filling. Followed by meatballs with mozzarella ( lovely and spicy) and the croquettes. Although we only ordered 4 dishes between us it was plenty. Best tapas we have had compared to high street chains like La Tasca where a lot is just microwaved! The mussels also seemed a popular choice. This restaurant was recommended to us and I would definitely say worth a visit, makes a change from the amount of fish and chip shops in the area. Enjoy!

The girls were very pleasant and the service was fast and friendly. Ordered the homemade pizzas but was disjointedness in the doughy bases which appeared to be bought in. The other food was ok but nothing special. Live music in the square on a Sunday afternoon in the Summer was really good and provided a great atmosphere.

Busy Saturday evening, nice relaxed atmosphere which was just what we were looking for. I really enjoyed the Tapas we chose, everything tasted fresh, and as though it had been cooked with genuine care. I felt as though I had just the right amount, although I did manage a dessert which was delightful.

Something different for Weymouth, and in the lovely setting of Hope Square. Definitely worth a visit.
