Went in a group of 11. Place was heaving. Was a little apprehensive as some reviews were poor especially regarding the attitude of staff.
Found the staff to be fast, efficient and businesslike. All food brought to table on time , hot and together for the whole group. Staff were busy but made time to chat when service had finished.

Food was pretty good overall. All the group enjoyed their meals. Comments included "duck starter was outstanding, pigeon breast really good". I had butterflied prawns which were very good. Main courses also good. The turkey looked really nice and all the veg looked and tasted excellent, with the exception of the parsnips which for some reason weren't fully cooked. However, the rest of the veg was spot on. Only complaint from group was that the rolled sirloin was chewy. Everything else was good though and all the sweets went down a treat. The creme brulee got rave reviews! I had the cheesboard ... again, a nice selection.
The best Xmas dinner I've had in a long time and not a bad price at all (£20). I am likely to return to see how they fare after Xmas.
The only other issue was that servie at 10% was added to the bill (not mentioned on the menu). I personally don't like this practice, but understand it is quite common, especially in the upmarket establishments. remember, you have the right to have it removed from the bill. We were very happy with the service and didn't quibble however.
Last note: beware the blond Lithuanian ... she packs a mean punch ;) !!!

Booked to go here as a group of 43 on December 8th for a fire service Christmas meal, service was excellent, very quick and attentive staff, ali's wife was checking that all was going well throughout the nite, the food was lovely and hot, one comment that was suggested by a work colleague was , maybe to have seasonal vegetables served on the tables?, not a complaint, just a suggestion, I will definitely come back!

Last minute booking on a dreary winters night. This was our third visit (which does say something) and decided to opt the "dine for less" option which, at £11.95 for 2 courses including a glass of wine, seemed good value. We were certainly not disappointed. Normally these set-price type menus are quite limiting but we were pleasantly suprised by the choice on offer. The food was freshly cooked and high quality whilst the service was attentive but not overpowering. Well furnished and maintained thoughout and certainly worth a visit as the normal menu is well priced with a good range of well though out dishes. The only negative comment would be that the house wine served with the set menu was not good. However, that was our choice as we could have chosen a different wine from the extensive wine menu and didn't detract from the overall experience.

Thank you for taking your time to write this review for our restaurant, we are pleased to hear about your experience, we do use offer like this to introduce some new dishes, and use feed backs to improve them and may be put it in our main menu, thank you for your input about house wine, we are on the verge of changing our wine supplier and trying different supliers as the current one gone to administration, so we definitely not going to use this one. we are hoping to see you soon again. best regards Ali

Having heard some unfavourable remarks about the restaurant, we wanted to experience it for ourselves. We were a litlle apprehensive but found the menu to have a good variety with something for everyone. The diversity of each dish was refreshingly good. We were a group of six and all had something different. There was enough time to enjoy each course. The wine list had a good variety to choose from. The staff were attentive and pleasant. The owner was also on hand to ensure our enjoyment of the evening. We found it to be good value for money and would recommend it for a very enjoyable meal out.
The restaurant is clean, the toilets are a positively good experience and the ambience was pleasant.

Thank you for your lovely comments, and i,m glad that we could make your evening as enjoyable as possible, it is all to easy in this cyber age to sit down in front of a computer screen and type anything come to mind on key board, hence unfortunate remarks on this site, i like, the old fashion way if any problems or any suggestions raise at times, we will sort it there and then this is more personal, some restaurant don't do anything but cyber marketing and blowing there own trumpet but we like more personal relations with our customers, thank you again for this kind review and hope to see you soon again.

We were a group of six people and dined on a Friday evening. The restaurant was only a third full. The space is very well designed with a pleasant atmosphere.

The young waiting staff were attentive, polite and friendly. Our drinks and first courses arrived promptly. We had chosen from a varied menu with something for everyone's taste.

Unusually, we had chosen six different main courses but they arrived at the table simultaneously, piping hot and looking delicious. I had Beef fillet & wild mushroom stroganoff, peppers, rice £9.95 and it was creamy and very tasty. For dessert I just had ice cream but my wife enjoyed the Baked cheese cake, baileys cream £4.95 and said it was great.

Wines and coffees were all perfect but can I suggest to Ali (the wonderful host) that my tea was difficult to drink......it was in a tall Irish Coffee glass placed on a non-matching and ill-fitting saucer. It was very tricky to handle and I'm guessing most customers would prefer a straightforward cup.

We lingered at the table long after we'd finished eating and, although it was, by now, 11.30pm, we had no sense of being hurried out.

This restaurant has to be rated among the best in Weymouth. It is comfortable, relaxed with wonderful food and atmosphere. Our evening was memorable in every way and I do not hesitate to give it the very highest recommendation.

Thank you very much for choosing our venue for your special evening, we are very pleased to make your night as enjoyable as possible, i do agree with you about tea being served in a glass, i think tea should be served old fashion way in a CUP, i will pass on your comments to our staff, we are looking forward to welcome you to our restaurant again soon.
