We visited with friends as a celebration dinner after nearly 15 years since the last visit.

The restaurant had certainly smartened up since then.

We received a warm welcome and good service.

The food was OK although the starters were small. The main course had a generous serving of meats. The rice was good but the Nan breads were small and mine was the worst I have ever tasted.

For me, the choice of Indian lager or Indian lager didn’t go down well. The Cobra wasn’t too good but the Kingfisher was excellent but at nearly £5 it should have been.

This is not the cheapest place to eat an Indian meal.

I won’t be quick to go again and wouldn’t really recommend it at other than OK.

Enjoyed a great meal a year ago, so thought would return this year. Service was pleasent and great decor, but the food was terrible, rice was a pile of stucked together over cooked mess more like a rice pudding. The curry was one of the worst i have tasted, swimming in salt and with a horrible after taste and the thinnest of sauces. I have been eating curries for over 30 years and this goes down as one of the worst. Even though we left most of our meals, no one seemed to care why, we paid our bill and left. Will not be recommending or returning.

The service was great too. I always enjoy a night out here, and would recommend it to anyone. Bring back the fish tank, though!

Thoroughly recommend this restaurant for a traditional curry with friendly service in clean and comfortable surroundings.

The take away service is also excellent and always seems to be ready in 20 minutes.

If you are visiting Weymouth give it a go.

Run by the son of an old friend who used to own the Agra in Warminster, Wiltshire, we were not overwhelmed with our welcome from the staff, or the quantity of food and the price. One tandoori chicken starter for our five year old, a Chicken Madras, King Prawn Dhansak, Chicken Dhansak, Rhogun Gosh, three rice, Nam bread, two chapatis and few popadums, added to a bottle of house wine, two pints of lager and a diet coke came to £98-90p. We were glad we adults didn't go for the starters or sweets or we would have been looking at around £35 a head for a pretty average meal.
We did clean our plates, but weren't really full! The restaurant is very clean, has a nice atmosphere, but there isn't much room between the seats and the edge of the tables - we did feel squashed in. There is a car park opposite where you have to pay whatever time you use it, which adds another £5 to the bill. Won't be returning - which is sad. Our friend wasn't there, but his son was.
