1. Food is expensive as is the entry price.
2. No lilies were actually out (the owners should consider only opening when the lilies themselves have blossomed since that is the whole point of the centre)
3. The museum was very underwhelming and needs a rethink

However, the staff were friendly and polite

This is a lovely place but a bit pricey. The cafe is nice with a view over the lake but could do with a bit more choice. You can spend most of the day here, which makes it better value for money but it is expensive if you have only got a couple of hours. We went in the morning, stayed for lunch and went round again in the afternoon when you see it all in a different light. It is a great place for artists to visit and you could spend a holiday here if that were your hobby or profession. It is not uncommon to see people painting and sketching. There are lovely huge dragonflies and damselflies here and the place throbs with wildlife.

We made a mistake of going at 3pm on a damp afternoon. We were a little taken aback at the entrance cost, we felt it a little high for what you actually got to see, a few ponds and some water Lillie's. Unfortunately the rain made an appearance and we walked around looking for shelter. There was the odd lily out and to be honest we were disappointed.
I'm not sure we would bother to go again.

While on holiday we decided to visit the water gardens as we had picked up a leaflet and it looked stunning. So we were disappointed when we arrived. The first couple of ponds with the bridges are beautiful but as you go further round the other ponds are quite neglected, full of weed etc and nothing to really see. Such a shame. All in all it took us about an hour to walk round and that included stopping to take a few photos! So we decided to try the café and I am pleased to say that we had a very nice lunch. Four of us visited so it was an expensive couple of hours! £32 entrance plus the cost of lunch.!
