.Our monthly visits to Floods (15.2.13) at the start of this year and in February were as usual excellent. Both times we were welcomed warmly and asked to choose our table, as we were early. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening watching the chef Colin cooking and listening to the gentle hum of people chatting and the two waitresses talking to customers about their choices or food and advising them what the different dishes contain. There is a nice volume of back-ground music and interesting pictures to admire, this all adds to the ambience. Floods always seem fully booked even in the winter time which speaks for itself. TRY FOR YOURSELVES BUT PLEASE BOOK SO AS NOT TO BE DISAPPOINTED

15 of us visited Floods on the 13/2/2013 for a birthday meal.Staff were very friendly on arrival making us feel very welcome & within a while were bringing us our starters which were enjoyed by all. Then come the Mains from plates of whole Bass to a trio of fish & big fat Rib eye steaks for the non fish lovers. All in all the evening was enjoyed by each and every one of us and i would not hesitate to go back again and as for the comments of the smallness of the place in my eyes i prefer restaurants to be this way rather than a big space with empty tables and no atmosphere...

My grown-up daughter & myself were on a weekend break to Weymouth & really fancied trying some fresh fish. Most seafood restaurants we looked at were closed, either because it was a Sunday, or the time of year. Floods was suggested by a pub worker, we were impressed by the feedback on Trip Advisor, so we gave it a try, and joy oh joy, were we glad we did! The atmosphere was relaxed, the lady who served us was extremely friendly & helpful, the food was out of this world, and the price very reasonable (2 courses each & a nice bottle of Rioja for less than £30 per head). We were well impressed & would definitely suggest it's worth a visit!
