“A "Mediterranean" Treat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

We love this restaurant beside the sea, because the seafood is so good, especially the North African Fish Stew, which is fantastic value for a soup/stew full of mussels, prawns and scallops, depending on what's available on the day. Whether you find a table inside or sit outside on a sunny day, at lunchtime, we've never been disappointed by the fish stew, or scallops and mussels. We haven't eaten there in the evening, when it becomes a smarter venue altogether, so this review is confined to the day time, and to specific dishes we've enjoyed there at least a dozen times. The beach in front of the restaurant also happens to be our favourite swimming beach in the summer, and if you spend a modest amount of money you can get up to two hour's parking fee back. In the day time, it's very relaxed. Outdoor tables could be cleared and cleaned more often, but do go and try the fish stew or other excellent seafood dishes, very reasonably priced. Get there early as it can get very busy. You have to queue to make an order during the day.

“Could be better presented and attended”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2013 via mobile

Visited at lunch time, parking was available and able to claim back when making a purchase, the menu was extensive however it would be nice to have table service for the prices being paid, the man serving was not welcoming and the rest of the staff seem unhappy to be even working, on receiving our food I had a meat and cheese platter and my friend had a greek salad it wasn't much I felt for the £7.90 a bit pricey, the setting was great and I can see in the summer A real hotspot. Overall I would return for food but I would a drink!

“Such a shame!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2013

Fantastic location, really great views but the service isn't that great. Went in on a sat afternoon at about 2pm, and 2/3rds empty, but the staff still were unfriendly. They weren't exactly busy after all! Been in before when it was busy and still no service with a smile. Politeness and happy staff go a long way

Hi, I am genuinely sorry you find our service unfriendly. All our staff are in fact very friendly but some of the younger ones perhaps do not appreciate the importance of a smile, even though they are told. To be honest, being young, a lot of it is shyness. They will be told again. Apologies!!! Incidentally, we do great food and drink which is why we are always busy. It was pouring with rain the day you came in

lovely location good menu, service was odd, it was very busy and the queue almost wrapped round the tables which for me were so close together i tried to pull my chair out to sit down but was a squeeze as the table next to me was so close....wasnt just this table. still lovely location and food was nice (typical breakfast/cafe food available and also some proper meals) - right next to the beach. apparently does evenign meals to so may check that out before leaving to be fair

“Delicious breakfast with a beautiful view!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013 via mobile

I went here yesterday with 2 friends for the 1st time, lately we have been struggling to find a place that does a nice hot and tasty fry up and decided we would give this place a try. I am extremely glad we did! On entering the place it was completely full with no tables to spare, but the smell of the food was so great we were more than happy to wait. Kindly a group of people that had finished eating could see that we were waiting, so they called us over to say they were leaving and we could sit there :) we had a table by the window looking out onto the sea with the sun shining down, very pretty view. This cafe does not have table service, you go to the till to order which I guess could prove to be slightly more difficult for the elderly when this place is full, but for us was no problem. Anyhow, our food came quickly, was very well presented, hot and tasted great. I had a latte with mine and that was also nice. We will most definitely be returning here most likely every weekend to be fair!
