Just had a wonderful stay at the Gloucester House with Chris & Geoff (for one night) stayed for 5. They were wonderful host and outstanding service by all who dealt with us. They were very accommodating, and gave us a very warm welcome on our first night there. We decided to stay for more nights, as the sun was out and we had a very nice room on the ground floor room 1, it was clean and tidy at all times and suited our needs. They are ex service people and I found this to be relevant as they were friendly and had a good sense of humour and would go that extra mile to give service. The breakfast was of a high standard and they accommodated to all guests needs, and greeted everyone with a smile. We will go back again and im sure once you go there you will go again too. Thanks Chris and Geoff, we will be back!! Your lodgers.

Room Tip: All rooms are of a very high standard

We stayed here as part of a large group - and the staff were most accommodating and helpful - they couldn't do enough for us! I have to say, they are the friendliest staff I have ever encountered in a hotel, either here or abroad! The rooms are functional, beds very comfortable, and good en-suite.
Such a shame they haven't got a car park, otherwise they would be the prefect hotel! Having said that, we had no problems with on-road parking - the staff were extremely helpful to the extent of dashing out of the back of the hotel when we arrived to find my husband in the car and give him a parking permit - and then helping to carry the cases inside, and up the stairs to our room - fantastic service.
The location is amazing, right on the seafront giving easy walking to the beach and harbour.
Highly recommended!

We have just returned from a fantastic weekend in Weymouth, we stayed at the Gloucester House and hope to return again very soon. Chris & Geoff are fantastic hosts, we arrived quite late on Friday evening and received a very warm welcome from them, we were shown to our ground floor room (1a), which was huge and absolutely spotless. The bed is super comfortable, there is also a nice comfortable sofa so you can sit and watch TV. Breakfast is plentiful and includes a variety of cereals/yoghurts/juices and then full English breakfast - cooked to perfection. The sitting room is wonderful and nice to sit and watch the sea and the world go by. Nothing is too much trouble for Chris and Geoff. Perfect hosts at a perfect hotel. Going to return soon with the kids ! Handy for town too as it's less than a 5 minute walk

Room Tip: Room 1a is on the ground floor so ideal for guests with mobility issues, very quiet too as it is at...

I travelled alone this trip as my husband couldn't make it, however, I was made to feel more than welcome like an old friend, as I have been there on several occasions previously with my husband. A few days away from the stresses of work, some sea air & retail therapy was just what I needed. Great hosts Christine & Geoff made me feel at home & suggested places for me to visit on my own. I had a very comfortable room on the top floor, with a sea view. I asked to be away from other guests as I was on my own and wanted some privacy, and Chris was most accommodating. Can't fault this lovely guest house, and won't hesitate to make the journey alone again if I have to.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front of house for the sea views.

We have just returned from an excellent 3 night stay at The Gloucester House. The rooms were very good all were very clean and had everything you needed. The single room had a wonderful see view and a balcony you could enjoy the early morning on.
The breakfast was first class, everything was cooked perfectly.
The staff and especially the hosts Geoff and Chris make you extremely welcome and absolutely nothing is problem to them.
The Gloucester House is in a great location just a short walk to the centre of town.
Would highly recommend a stay at this lovely Bed & breakfast, we will definitely be returning.
