We enjoyed our 3 night stay in the bungalow with our 4yo and baby. The bungalow was very clean and warm and beds comfortable. Shower v good. Bit of a squash with baby travel cot in our room but we managed fine. Well stocked modern kitchen. We arrived to find fresh milk and cake which was lovely and more cake arrived every day!
I enquired about breakfast before we arrived and Jane & Keith who are both really nice, (& child friendly!) were very kind to accommodate us in the next door old farmhouse which is the b&b, for a delicious full English every day. Such a huge treat as parents of young children!! Also fruit yoghurt juice cereal coffee etc. It really made the stay to be set up with a top quality breakfast every day and not have to cook it or wash up!
And from the farmhouse breakfast room you could see the huge garden with pretty ducks chickens etc which come to the French doors for feeding. My 4 yo absolutely loved it.
The alpacas you could see from the bungalow across the way and the horses got exercised in winter right outside the window in their yard (there’s no garden with the bungalow just space for a bench) so if you like horses it is perfect.
I’d probably prefer a proper garden for a family trip if it was for a summer break but in winter when we visited it was fine. Beaches are nearby too - walking distance.
We really liked the area, old Weymouth is very pretty nice pubs and a fantastic ice cream shop and Dorchester had lots of options for children, lots of museums and we saw Dippy the dinosaur on tour from London at the Dorchester county museum which was great.
All in all for the price we paid in winter - 3rd night free and getting the amazing breakfasts included we thought it was a really great little trip.
Only minus a point for outside space which we hadn’t quite realised.
