Great Location – Good food, drinks and service too!

I went here last night as part of a group of 6. We were seated upstairs at the right hand side window so we had an excellent view of the harbour and saw the sun setting over Weymouth.

The restaurant mainly serves seafood dishes but there are other options. The menu is fairly small, I prefer not to have too much choice myself, but all options covered most tastes and fancies.

They had a good selection of 3 or 4 bottled DBC ales which was good for the men! Also the wine list was quite extensive.

A 3 course dinner for 6 including wine and beer came to around £200 so its not cheap but not ridiculously expensive.

The service provided was second to none, the young waiter and waitress were very polite and quick to help.

if you like properly cooked seafood then a visit to this restaurant is a must. You can smell the cooking fish as soon as you enter the door!

If you found my review helpful please +1, also let me know if you have any questions I may be able to help with - Thanks!

Friendly staff, cosy but stylish interior, beautiful food! This place has the feel/decor of a wine bar but really personal service, the waiting staff were knowledgeable about the food which was, although not huge portions, really top quality.

Thinking that a Sunday night during the Olympic sailing regatta would be busy, we booked a table on the internet and got a quick confirmation. In the event we got there early and were the first diners of the night. They decided to offer us a window table rather than one they had reserved which gave us a really great view of the activity outside. Four staff including the owner were on duty and perhaps because we had booked (and were early) they made a bit of a fuss of us, which was pleasant, but not overbearing. The atmosphere is inviting, infused with modern touches with interesting art and an exceptionally impressive mural. We chose from the set menu and shared olives and bread. I had a well done steak with frites and my wife had the half roast chicken. For dessert, I had Lemon Polenta cake and my wife, chocolate brownie. They describe their food as uncomplicated modern British food with classic European influences. That is a good description. The set menu offers 5 starters, 6 mains and 4 desserts at £13.95 for 2 courses, and £15.95 for 3 courses. Service was pleasant and unhurried and we spent a very pleasant couple of hours there. The steps up to the entrance will be an issue for some, as will the steps down to the basement toilet. The décor is plain walls and wooden floors and tables with a large bar.

We wanted somewhere new to eat and after a few searches on the Internet decided on the harbour bridge. We were greeted by very polite staff and shown immediately to our table. We were placed up stairs right next to the window so a lovely view whilst eating. The service was prompt and enough time between courses so not to feel rushed. The food itself was very tasty, cooked well and enough so not to feel completely stuffed at the end!! We will definatly visit again.
