Littlesea Holiday Park - Haven
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed October 28, 2012 via mobile

We stayed at littlesea holiday park in October mon - fri and was a really good week, on approach to the park you drive through a road with units each side not as bad as some people make it out to be. Once we was on the park it looked really good on appearance! Very modern. It took about 20-25 mins to check in, once we had our keys we went to the caravan and was on the corner spot WB110 which had a really nice view over looking the complex and bay! The caravan was quite worn but modern! The aerial for the tv seemed to be attached to a lamppost outside the caravan which interfered with everything (tractors, hair dryers etc) the club house was good & fun, good amotsphere. Mash and barrel was good! And everything around the park on the outside was great! (Visited monkey world, sealife tower & sealife adventure park) monkey world was the better!

We stayed friday-monday, having booked through the sun holiday vouchers. On arrival we had a friendly welcoming from staff at reception her were very helpful to answer any questions. A large range of leaflets for attractions in the re available in reception was also handy. Our caravan was relatively clean, i would say the mat in the entrance was quite dirty and the kettle didn't work but apart from that was ok. On the first night i cooked spaghetti and we realized we had no colander to drain, unfortunately my partner tried to drain with the saucepan lid and the spaghetti ended up in the sink! was quite funny though! I took a walk to the beach which was quite nice although wellies could have been more suitable due to the large amounts of rainfall. Only a 5 minute drive into weymouth town or 10 minutes to portland and only 30 minutes from durdle door a very convenient and quiet area to stay! Also a starbucks on site.. was lovely to take a stroll down to get a coffee in the mornings! we really enjoyed our stay, would recommend!

different holiday park that i have been to. stabucks on site was a good option, on the other hand it was very far away from weymouth and buses cancelled without any notice, meaning that we had to stay there another hour as the bus only comes every hour.

Lovely location and views but you need a car to get and about although buses were regular at camp.
Caravan had no oven ware of any sort you could do a roast dinner, or caserole. No iron or board or egg cups which would be nice. Bad points people leaving there dog Meadows 78 in the caravan on it's own and the poor dog was very distressed. Security said they could do nothing about it, other parks I have been to do not allow your dog to be left alone. Anyway I have more respect for my dog's welfare!
Also you can't take your dog to the onsite pub and sit outside having a quiet drink which I like to do. However, lovely walks for the dog. Fire in the caravan didn't work on arrival but this was quickly fixed by the maintenance staff.

Room Tip: Bring iron and toilet roll, washing up liquid, T towel, scourer, oven dishes.

Last weekend,we visited Littlesea for the second time, both times were a Sun £9.50 deal.

The check-in was very efficient and friendly and we decided to go for a drink before going to our caravan. The bar was very busy, but we were not kept waiting for long by the cheerful bar staff.

Our caravan was spotless, with a lovely sea view. We visited the Costa Coffee on Saturday morning before a walk along the coast, and thought it was very clean and pleasant.

I would recommend this holiday park as it exceeded our expectations.

If you enjoy listening to helicopters all evening you'll love it here....!! The on site fish and chip shop is awful...!! Entertainment is poor.. Unless you love Bingo then you'll be happy enough. Good points caravan very clean and modern.. The indoor swimming pool is large and kept clean.. At night the outdoor lighting is good. Would I come back.. In a word no.

We stayed on the touring part of the site. The wardens were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The walk along the lagoon was amazing in the evening with the sun setting and the swans feeding. There is a good field to walk dogs. Quiet at night (but then I guess that depends on the natives!). We definitely stay again.

Room Tip: A lovely site with beautiful views
