We stayed in a prestige caravan, all the comforts of home and more! Really comfy, stylish and plenty of room for us and the kids to run about. We didn't use the facilities much apart from the swimming pool which was great. Not too crowded, but probably would be at peak times. Perfect for using as a base

Three nights in early September. Excellent camp site, very clean with lovely caravans. Ideal situation for sightseeing. Had drink in Mash and Barrel but didn't eat. Friendly staff but the tables were sticky and glasses dirty. Booking in was simple friendly and efficient.

Room Tip: All caravans had easy access with plenty of space to sit and relax outside.

We recently visited the Littlesea Haven Holiday Park and cannot express how much we loved it. We went for the 2nd week of September. My 2 year old was throroughly entertained every morning with FREE activities such as swimming lessons and craft sessions that you all take part in as a family. The Kiddies show and disco in the evening was great fun and the Funstars made it. In particular Cat was full of life and very caring to all of the children. She really made the week! That being said all of the Funstars were awesome. Everyone on site was really accomodating and the facilities and caravan we had were spotless. The only slight negative (Nothing to do with Haven) is that the beach at the back is not a beach you would visit! That being said, Weymouth was a short car journey away and if you park at the beach car park it was well priced. The prices on site at Haven were really reasonable and because there were a large number of free acitivities on site, we didn't mind the odd £1 in the Bob the Builder ride on etc. We paid £5 for our son to attend the Roary tea party too and we all had a fab time. Thank you very much for a great holiday. We will be staying at Haven in the future and cannot wait!!

Just returned from a 4 night stay here and will be the first and last time we stay here. Arrived at 3pm which is when the caravan should be ready by only to be told to wait half an hour whilst the caravan was cleaned... With a 21 month old and 2 month old to sort out after a nearly 3 hour car journey was a tad inconvenient. However, stepping foot inside the "deluxe" caravan we couldn't have been more disappointed! The place was filthy! There were TOENAIL clippings left on the lounge corner table, thick black dust on everything, a broken bathroom blind just left laying on top of the toilet, none of the single bedroom beds were made up, kitchen had sticky work tops, hairs in the shower and sink, someone's Debenhams receipt left under the dining table along with old coco pops from the previous guest! It was clear to see that the place had literally just had the double bedroom bedding put on. No hoovering, polishing and cleaning of any kind had been carried out here. You don't expect to have to deep clean your accommodation on your arrival.
Went and had dinner in the Mash & Barell, expensive and the food was cold and bland. Whilst ordering the food I hadn't quite made my mind up what I wanted, the girl behind the bar said "so you don't know what your having then" so I quickly ordered the first thing I saw. When ordering our sons meal I asked what drinks they did, she replied "Capri sun and 5 alive", I asked what the 5 alive one was and she replied with an attitude "a kids drink". The card machine wasn't working when I put my card in so she slammed it behind the till whilst saying "oh crap" and walked off singing and shouting the song 'blue moon'. Very unprofessional. Was left waiting nearly an hour for our food, I could understand if the place was bustling but with only 5 full tables including us I thought was ridiculous.
When I gave the key back to the girl on reception she just snatched the key, put it in a tub and walked off.
This was supposed to be a lovely family holiday but there is no way on this earth we will spend our hard earned money staying at this place again! 5*...... They need a reality check! You have been warned!

Room Tip: Stay elsewhere!

Currently staying at littlesea for my third time and planning on definately coming back!
The caravan is spotless and to an extremely high standard- iv stayed in other haven sites and paid the premium prices for a caravan worse than this standard one.
The area is perfect as a group of young people(all of us 24/25) as we have had a bus/taxi into weymoutg for only a couple of pounds. We have also used the on site entertainment and even though we dont have children enjoyed the funstars dancing onstage!
We have also been pleasantly surprised by the site in general as it is clean, well kept, and most importantly quiet with no rowdy behaviour.
Also used the pool which was brilliant and free- didnt even bother us that there was quite a few children in there.
Will definately be coming bavk again and again.

The place is a complete dump, just returned from possibly the worst 4 days accomodation I have ever had the displeasure to stay at. Staff couldn't give a monkeys, caravans dirty, sweet wrappers behind the sofas and a dirty nappy on top of the wardrobe, yes you read it right!!!.. yuk! Staff didn't want to know. Most of the caravans are now privately owned and the place is only concerned in ripping you off every which way they can. Mash and Barrel is unbelievably messy I watched 4 staff walk by a dropped, used knife on the slope to the bar and they couldn't be bothered to pick it up, it stayed there for 35 minutes before a customer put it onto a table.. crumbs and mess on top and underneath most tables "and it wasn't busy" It put us off eating there, lord knows what the kitchen's like! Of 5 pool tables there not one wasn't 1 servicable, 1 out of order and the other 4 had ripped cloth, the indoor pool is a joke with allsorts floating in the water, we got out as soon as we got in!! We had requested ajoining caravans and were told it wouldn't be a problem so we upgraded our caravans.. We were situated 15 caravans apart.. "thanks for that!, why on earth did we upgrade?" supposedly for 20% more space, our friends had the smallest caravan on the site, we checked... last but not least there's a Cockerel or two right by where we were situated and we never had a wink of sleep because of it cockadoodle doing from 2 in the morning until 7.30am. If this sounds like the sort of place you would like to holiday at feel free.. IT'S A 5 STAR HOLIDAY PARK BELIEVE IT OR NOT... HaHaHaHaHaHasHa "NOT".. Trading Standards and the Enviorenmental Health ought pay the place a visit! AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE! A trip to Afghanistan would be more pleasurable and cleaner!!!

Room Tip: Go elsewhere, if you can't take ear defenders for the helecopters and cockerels and extra blanke...

We have stayed in several different parts of Dorset, and it is a beautiful county, unfortunately Littlesea Holiday Park is one place we shall never visit again.

Having travelled along the coast road past Bridport, with it's wonderful views, our expectations were high. Then, once we were able to find the turning we needed to get to the park, our hearts sank. You have to drive through a horrible tatty industrial area to get to the park entrance, which I know other posters have said shouldn't matter, but I think first impressions are important.

Once you get in to the park it all looks pretty much ok, very clean. We were fortunate enough to have the use of a friend's holiday home, which was fantastic. The site for me was far too big, and soulless, the only thing which brought life to it were the huge bunnies which inhabit the area.

We decided against using the pub, the food is expensive, and mostly fried things. The only facility we did use was the indoor pool. The pool is a fair size, and there is a shallow pool for children and tiny tots, unfortunately most parents took their babies into the adult pool which left little room for anyone who wanted to actually swim.

We knew from previous visits to Dorset the geography of the area, we knew there was no beach, just the lagoon and Chesil in front of that. It's all quite picturesque and interesting, but it's certainly not a place to paddle or swim.

I'm going back to Charmouth next year, a pretty place, and far more character, and the best fish and chip shop in Dorset.
