We enjoyed our visit. It is stretching things to describe a family visit in terms of "A day out" - half a day is a better description, which means the entry is not cheap.
However the tanks are well presented and, since we like matters of nature, we found our time on site interesting, uplifting and thoroughly enjoyable.
As a family our children are too big for the kiddies rides and splash, the weather being also too cold, so as add-ons we can only say they seemed to be all right, and certainly the place where most of the staff were situated.
The let down was the cafeteria. The staff were very nice and accommodating but they clearly had an uphill battle with the catering. The menu can only be described as choiceless and its all sub burger bar with chips straight from the freezer. Hello Senior Managers of places like this - £18 for 3 lunches on black plastic plates? Come on!
