“Great place for a weekend stay”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

Had a nice weekend break in Weymouth and stayed here, lovely little hotel overlooking the beach with friendly staff and a great breakfast to start the day, carpet is a little worn in places and there are no coffee/tea making facilities in the room as these are in the main lounge which is a great place to sit after breakfast, but apart from that would totally recommend for an enjoyable stay away

Room Tip: the hotel is close to the Wetherspoons pub, so may be advisable to get a room away from there as was...

Hi and thanks so much for taking the time to post a review - it is very much appreciated. Yes - there is wear and tear on a couple of the stairs - we are pinpointing a time for this to be replaced and can't wait to be swish right the way through! We feel we are able to offer a much better quality ground coffee in the Lounge BUT are more than happy to provide a Hospitality Tray in the room if guests prefer - when you come again, please mention this and we will pop one in the room for your arrival - no problem at all - it is our pleasure and job to look after you on your valuable time off! Thanks again for all the feedback.

My partner and i went for a weekend. We managed to get a last minute rate which was half price. The staff are very friendly and they accept dogs which is great. The room was clean but very stark. All the doors to the bedrooms close very loudly so there is a lot of banging - maybe closers would help. Nothing to complain about but probably would select a more traditional b and b next time. Certainly would not pay the rack rate.

Hi Fizz Chick - thank you so much for taking the time to review B+B Weymouth. Our philosophy was to present a fresh, clean canvas with funky art by local artists for all our guests to enjoy. Our rooms have great quality linen, towelling and the beds are new and comfortable. We are proud to be different but appreciate that some folk prefer more tradition. Thanks so much for the feedback about the doors - we will definitely explore options to help make our guests more comfy. Thank you, once again - we value your comments.

Stayed 11/10/12 party of 4.
From the very first contact on the phone to the goodbye as we left the friendly staff were brilliant and polite. A wonderful location on the seafront and close to bars and restaurants (jd wetherspoons 10 second walk!) The hotel is very quiet even being near the town.
The room was spotless and well appointed, towels were soft and linen was crisp and amazingly white! The shower gel provided smelled like traffic light lollipops which instantly transported me back to 1975! (in a good way). The shower was awesome and hot water was in plentiful supply. The bed was comfortable and pillows plump.
At the B+B there is a tv lounge with an amazing coffee machine and exceptional biscuits also a fridge with bottled water all free! Again the decor was clean; modern and upbeat!
Breakfast was fresh and effort was taken to ensure everyone was happy and well fed.
I have stayed in hotels and guest houses for double the money and half the service and attention to detail!
The B+B is a true gem in a lovely seaside town. I Will be booking again.
A very minor thing is the name, Google b+b weymouth or ask directions to b+b weymouth and you can imagine! But i have found it now and have no need to look it up, i am keeping it for myself !!!!!!

Dear Kernow Lobster. Thank you for a lovely review! We have all re-sniffed the B+B branded bathroom products and agree that Traffic Light lollipops does far more justice than the the luxury Mango and Coca Butter they were based on! Our unique bathroom products are just one little way we can treat our guests to something a bit different to usual B+B's. We are thrilled that you have enjoyed our central location - it is great to forget about the car and stroll the beach, harbour and town from our doopstep. Please consider joining our Belong + Benefit Club...lots of Special Offers are shouted about to our members though the B+B Club. We look forward to welcoming you - thanks so much, once again!

We have just returned from 4 nights at B&B Weymouth and were really happy. The room was clean and tidy, staff helpfull and friendly and the breakfast was super. Love the idea of being able to sit in the comfortable lounge and have tea, coffee etc. whenever you feel like it. All in all good value for money. I imagine it may be a bit noisy on a Saturday night because of its central location but this didn't bother us.

Hi and thanks so much for taking the time to review B+B Weymouth - it means an awful lot. We are really proud to offer a slightly different experience to the usual style B+B and I am delighted you have enjoyed it! Have you tried our sisters in London and Edinburgh...?!

This hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of Weymouth on the sea front. You will need to reserve a parking permit (there are only 9 for 23 rooms I think the girl said, so definitely book ahead!) We struggled to find a parking space at first, but that was because we got there on a Friday night at about 8pm!

If you join the B+B club, you will get a free bolly of champers like we did! Which is always a nice touch. Rooms are great, bathrooms are great. Shampoo, conditioner & body wash provided, which is handy.

Rachel (the girl on that night and day) was faultless. She was really helpful and went the extra mile. She was a credit to the business.

Unfortunately, we had the misfortune of having some idiots staying next door, who decided it was a good idea at 3am to come back from a night out, blare the tv out and sing at full volume 'you've lost that lovely feeling'. Believe me, that made me lose my loving feeling. Of course, this is not the hotel's fault. But I called reception and explained what was going on (I had driven 270 miles from Manchester, was exhausted and needed sleep) and Rachel came upstairs to listen to how loud they were, and then telephoned the room and told them to keep it down. She handled it really well and resolved the situation.

The breakfast was great (included) full English with tea, coffee, juice, toast, cheese.. The list is endless!

The thing that sold us the hotel initially, was that it was dog friendly. Blue (my greyhound) had a ball! (From what I can gather as I don't speak canine). Rachel, again, was superb. She said anything we needed for Blue, to let her know and if we ok for bowls etc for him. Rachel deserves a promotion! (Or a very hefty bonus).

Chilled bottles of water and tea and coffee were readily available in the front 'chill out' room.

Will definitely be staying with B+B again, apparently they have some Christmas time offers. Might just take them up on that..

Room Tip: If you're very sensitive noise, may be ask for a room that is more of the centre of the building...

Stayed here last night as a place to stop after a night out in Weymouth with some colleagues. First off location wise it couldn't be more central and is great for the town centre and the beach. A word of warning is you need to reserve a parking permit as the hotel (along with most others on the sea front) has no parking available. The parking permit I was given enabled me to park the car on the sea front within a few hundred metres so no problems there.
The room was a single and was seriously small but as a one night stop over it was fine for me. The room and everything in it was clean and modern and good quality. The en-suite was the same and the shower was powerful and hot. The free wifi is also good.
The coffee lounge is great with a first class coffee machine, biscuits and fridge with bottled water available all day at no charge and a stunning view of the bay.
A great tasty breakfast cooked to order (much needed after a night out)
What really made the stay for me was the receptionist / duty manager who was absolutely brilliant and was both firendly and really helpful. My mobile phone went flat overnight and she went and got her own phone charger so I could charge it up before leaving. First class customer service sold it for me so I would definately stay here again thanks.

Room Tip: Room 11 is tiny but fine for one night

Hi Wagtail! Thank you so much for takingthe time to review B+B Weymouth. The room you stayed in is indeed 'compact and bijous'(!) but a few regular travellers request it! The team are dedicated to genuine customer service and understand that your enjoyment of our offering is paramount - I am pleased we could help - have you considered our sisters in Belgravia and Edinburgh for other overnight stays..?! Best Wishes and thanks again.

We were very impressed with the rooms the quality of the linen, towels and fittings, the bed was huge all was great. The breakfast was fabulous and the tea and coffee facilities were the best I have had. Our dog also enjoyed himself enormously and enjoyed being made a fuus over. All in all a fabulous experience.
