Firstly, may I start by stating - I never give recommendations - having recommended people for jobs, who have messed things up, which then looked bad on myself. I also travel around for work for more than half of the year, so have stayed in a wide variety of accommodation... and this one deserves a write up.
We found this little place at 9pm the night before our trip - due to a last minute cancellation from the place we had previously booked.
We were met by the owner, John and Diana, and after a brief show around, they left us to enjoy this quaint little cottage.
Stunning views across the reservoir, gorgeous weather, and no noise at all, made this a mini-break to remember. The cottage was perfect, and the heating had been put on for us just in case it got chilly at night. A little barn-style door meant we could even savor the views from inside.
"Dog friendly" was the statement on the website, but it was way more... not only were we left "afternoon tea" on our arrival, but a little bowl of treats for our dog too (which she thoroughly enjoyed!).
I would like to thank John and Diana for a fabulous break - and we cannot speak highly enough about it.

Hi Dale,
Many thanks for your more than generous review. It was a pleasure having you both to stay. Now in our 14th season here most of our guests come back year after year & have become good friends in the process. This is exactly what makes our work worthwhile, if we can give pleasure & help to introduce busy people to a more laid back lifestyle in this lovely area, then we have our reward.
Kind regards.
John & Diana.
