We were staying in the middle of nowhere about a fifteen minute drive from Middleton (or ten when you have a car full of hot fish and chips) and had previously popped into the shop for a lunchtime "snack". It was so nice that we vowed to have proper fish and chips and were not disappointed.
The shop wasn;t too busy around 8pm on a late August evening and a cheerful member of staff took my order as soon as I walked in. Everything is fried to order which means you'll wait around ten minutes for your takeaway but it will be freshly cooked to perfection.
Fish was certainly on the large size and really tasty. Prices compared well with what we pay locally and there was plenty of choice on the menu. Looking forward to coming back!

Don't often rave about fish and chips but these were exceptional. Haddock cooked to order - perfect; crunchy chips; lots of S&V; lovingly wrapped in layers of paper and eaten outside. Great service. Lucky Middleton!

Walked past this shop on a Sunday - the smell was gorgeous so we called back from a local camp site on the Monday - it was closed - so we called back on the Tuesday and were really glad we did. Food cooked to order, so it's fresh and hot, and great value for money - huge portions. We sat outside on the tables provided and the food was brought to us. Super service. Dogs welcome outside. We'll be back.

Glad you enjoyed your camping trip and even better, your fish and chips. Unfortunately we do close Mondays, as we need a little respite after the weekend.

Your comments are really appreciated, we are comparatively new to the Fish and Chip shop business, so any feedback is very welcome. My sister and I are from a farming background and aim to give generous portions of good quality food at a reasonable price, I'm pleased we met your exacting standards and hopefully we will see you at Middleton in Teesdale before too long.

Thank you once again for both your customer and your review.
