“Somewhere Special”
Reviewed June 29, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Probably the best holiday accommodation we have stayed in.
The premises have been restored from an old farm building to provide exceptional accommodation at what must have been a considerable cost.
The fittings and furnishings are of very high quality and thoughtful touches abound.
There was a generous welcome pack on arrival featuring local and home made goodies.
The rural location is ideal for a wide variety of birds drawn by the various feeders around the garden, we managed several "award winning" fotos to add to our memories of this lovely place
Well done! - Kate & John

Thank you very much for your review - we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We loved your photos of the great spotted woodpeckers and the cheeky squirrel performing acrobatics. It is good to know that the bird feeders are attracting a variety of wildlife.

We have just returned from a week's stay here. Very family friendly for our 3 young children yet still luxurious. Hospitality amazing! Lots (too much!) to do locally. Thoroughly enjoyed the week and would recommend. We'll be coming back very soon!

“Everything we could have asked for and a little bit more too”
Reviewed March 15, 2016 for a stay in December 2015

We wanted a nice, relaxing, countryside get-away and we found it! Everything was excellent from the attention to detail in the cottage to the wonderful surroundings. We were made to feel very welcome but not over catered for so it really felt like our own little oasis. We will be coming back for sure.

“Luxury and Relaxation”
Reviewed February 19, 2016 for a stay in February 2016

My partner and I stayed in what used to be the Cart Shed. From the moment we arrived we knew it was going to be a blissful stay. The location of Swallows Nest is absolutely idyllic, you have to see it for yourself. Nestled away in the Yorkshire scenery, you are surrounded by green fields, lakes and beautiful countryside vistas. The holiday let itself is a work of art, in keeping with the countryside nature and very tastefully decorated to boot! All the facilities we could want were included such as wifi and even a few we hadn't considered such as a telescope to watch the nights sky and a selection of books, which my partner enjoyed reading, lounging on the window bench. The selection of local produce that was supplied such as homemade bread and local jam was a lovely touch. Overall we wouldn't hesitate to stay again and we're looking forward to doing so in the near future! It's our favourite holiday spot for peaceful and relaxing weekends away.
