“Poor and Cold”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

Pre booked in advance as always been a popular restaurant, arrived and we was the only ones in the restaurant. Drinks came and the beer was flat and then the food arrived starters were average the main course very poor. We ordered a banquet between us and all of the meals were very boring and tasted very similar. Told them the food was cold and not very nice nothing was done about it. The whole time the leak in the ceiling was dripping on our heads told the waiter and he laughed, called the waitress over and they stood and laughed together. Throughout the meal we had to sit with jackets on due to it been so cold told them we were cold and they laughed. Defiantly will not been returning, a lot cheaper and nicer restaurants in Beverley with a nicer atmosphere and well as food. Gone down hill since my last visit, hope it was just a one off.

“Best asian restaurant in Beverley still after all these years.”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

I went there on the 24/2/2013. Food very high quality. Don't know why someone would say it is tasteless unless they like piling salt on everything.Service was good as usual.IT was a bit cold inside but overall excellent.

“Really good!”
Reviewed February 5, 2013 via mobile

After reading the reviews on here which are quite mixed we decided to give it a go. We arrived and were promptly showed to our table which was right at the back of the restaurant it was a little squashed but we liked it and felt cozy but we were near the radiator which was good because it was a very cold night. It was very busy but we got served in good time and the food came out quickly to, crab claws to start with and Peking chicken wings were amazing, second course of duck was lovely and tender and the main of Hong Kong style pork was delicious not tasted better anywhere! The upstairs of the restaurant was a bit shabby as were the toilets but all in all we had a nice evening with excellent food and for £42 for three courses with 3 glasses of wine and soft drinks I think it was excellent value for money!

“Chilly bland experience.”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

I visited with my boyfriend, never to return again. On arrival, we were seated at a table and we ordered a drink. In hindsight, we should have left and not bothered wasting our money on the tasteless bland food. The restaurant was freezing cold and I didn't remove my coat. The service was poor and the waiter didn't bother to ask if everything was ok. We went to the till to pay and informed the manageress that we hadn't enjoyed the meal. She was obnoxious and not interested. Needless to say, it was our first and last visit.

“Great Chinese Take Away”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

Delivery was fast and efficient, all dishes were hot on arrival and carefully placed in plastic boxes. All dishes ordered were good, and the veggies in particular were crisp and delicious. Very reasonable prices.
