Whilst in Beverley we had some bad news about a dear close friend, so we took the opportunity to go and sit through a service. We felt able to find some peace and say the words out aloud that maybe we would not have done away from a place of worship. So thank you good folk of Beverley for being there at the right time.

Thank Andrew N

This is a little gem, rooftop tour is excellent though need good climbing legs. Lovely seven prayer stations that are simple and meaningful no matter what your religious bias. Very helpful volunteers.

Certainly worth a visit, a sight to behold. We came across it by chance and could not possibly pass by without stopping to experience this magnificent structure.

The Minster of St. John in Beverley is a magnificent example of Gothic architecture. The history of the building, the timescales and all the statues carved into the stone provides a diverse and interesting visit. There is also the town and surrounding area to visit.

Beverley Minster is one of Beverley's main attractions. For a nominal fee you can walk around and explore lots of things, including the Nave, built in the 14th century. There's also the Norman font, dating from 1070, and a sanctuary chair, for those escaping prosecution in the 11th century.

Don't miss the organ, originally built in 1767, with its 4,000 pipes, some of them from the original construction.

As a place to visit with lots of interest and lots of history, I can recommend it.
