We are so pleased we chose to stay here, it really is as nice as it looks on the website! It has been decorated with great taste, and is luxurious and welcoming. Our bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Sheila was friendly and made us feel very much at home. We would definitely recommend Breakers and would love to go back again.

Have just returned from a 3 night stay at Breakers I cannot fault the service given by Sheila the owner. The rooms are immaculate with thick white towels, quality shampoo, conditioner and toiletries and the most fantastic showers. The brakfast was fantastic with a bowl of fresh fruit salad, cereals, toast and full english all set out on beautifull china in a lovely dining room. The house is lovely with the most fantastic views across the beach and on to Appledore. Eating out in Instow is also great we ate in Wayfarer and The Bar and the Boat house all really good.
Our room was at the back of the house with on suite very lovely room and bathroom only negative being the room could do with a fan as it was hot at night.
Parking is outside on the road and after 11am car has to be moved but if you are out and about this isnt a problem as you can return at 4pm and park until 11am next morning. The Tarka trail goes through Instow and Sheila has a court yard to store bikes that is secure, the walk along Tarka trail to Bideford is lovely about 3 miles I would recomend Breakers and Sheila to anyone wishing a quality stay in a beautiful setting

We stayed here the last night of a week walking the South West Coast Path. We were stunned by the view and the bathroom, which was bigger than the bedroom. It looks like a picture from a glossy magazine and you suddenly walk in it. We stayed in more than over 100 B&B's sofar, but we never stayed in a place that stylish as Breakers. Sheila is the perfect host and breakfast was absolutely fabulous. I could have stayed here for at least a month. And just around the corner is the Wayfarer Inn, a great place to eat out. Unfortunately we had to take the ferry back to Holland, otherwise I think we'd stayed a little longer.

We stayed one night while walking the South West Coast path with our dog and friends and wished we could have stayed longer! The most beautifully decorated rooms and lounge, a warm welcome with tea and cake, a delicious breakfast and a stunning view across the estuary. What''s not to like? Sheila was the perfect hostess and it was the best night's accommodation we had the whole week of walking the Coast path. We would recommend this B&B to everyone, and a lovely restaurant is just next door too!
