We ate in this restaurant twice during our stay. We had canopes and fresh bread to start followed by delicious main courses and very attractive sweets. The staff are very helpful and smiley. It was a very pleasant experience

Thank Dawn on holiday

Ate in the restaurant each night of our stay at the New Park Manor hotel. Food was typical of the brand and to a very high standard with very attentive staff. The major plus is being able to sit and have a good adult meal with a baby listening device (provided by the hotel) to know that your children are okay. Menu had a good selection of which I tried most along with different specials each day. The Chateaubriand for two was particularly good.

Thank Mark W

Went for a Birthday meal midweek. A hot afternoon turning to evening - drinks were very good GnT mixed just right + ice cold cider. Plate of nibbles very nice.
Nicely laid table with enough room.
Very good plate of scallops with slices of fresh veg looked great. Lamb main very good, lemon sole also good. Panna cotta a bit firm but tasty.
Place just being painted so looks good. Nice outdoor area for arrival drinks. Restaurant is in a large open room - about 12 people in and a talking in hushed tones kind of place. The staff very good though, and very helpful with a few things such as taxi etc.
A little more formal than we are used to but I think this was more to do with the guests rather than the staff.
Another table had a Birthday and the waitresses brought out a cake. Also our Daughter was given a free starter as she hadn't ordered one and we had. Both very nice touches.

£40 3 courses menu + childrens menu see online for current. We had a bottle of wine £25 which was good.
Overall very good quality food, everything as it should be for this class of place.

booked for sunday lunch. we were the only people eating there which was somewhat alarming. the meal was very pleasant although not exceptional. it is obviously very difficult to cook a varied roast sunday lunch menu when there are only 2 guests booked in for dinner. the roast beef dinner was tasty. the best course was the lovely chocolate fondant which was cooked fresh and divine. quite expensive at £24.95 a head but a lovely setting and helpful friendly staff. coffee and tea i felt should have been included rather than another £7 on top. however there was a lovely lounge to relax in afterwards with magazines/newspapers. we will try again but they need in winter to try and attract more dining guests to give the atmosphere of being a used restaurant. my suggestion is to reduce the price in winter £75 for 2 with drinks for lunch was quite steep.

Gave three weeks notice when booking afternoon tea and advised them that one member of the party could not eat acidic foods. We were told we would have tea in the restaurant and the dietary requirements would be passed on to the chef. Upon arrival we were asked where we would like to sit. No table was laid. When the food arrived no alternative as requested for acidic request. Informed waitress, chef came out to see us. Plate of sandwiches arrived only to find that they had scrapped the pickle off of one sandwich leaving traces behind! Not a good experience. Very disappointed.
