Balmer Lawn is a star in the New Forest, the High Tea is worth the visit alone, never ending tea and an excellent variety of cakes and treats. Staff we meet and dealt with were all attentive, helpful and friendly.
The rooms we had were modern, clean and smart, with pleasant toiletries, tea/coffee & biscuits.
As the third floor is an extension in lacks the robust sound proofing of the older original building, so consider this as you may not have quite neighbours!!!
The small gym is adequate, although some items needed a review whilst we visited and certainly the ladies changing room is in need of a face lift, but I am sure this is on the agenda.
Breakfast is mixed buffet hot, cold etc, with some items cooked to order if required, we did not find it wanting (only save perhaps to have a few labels on the preserves).
It was a pleasure to see dogs in the Hotel. Dog owners being allowed to have dogs with them (at a cost of £20 per dog, per night ! - some owners thought this was high)
The bar food is adequate, but we'd advise to give the bar a miss - two standard G 'n'T's extortionate, being same price as the food we ate !!!
Would we go again - Most definitely -More
