me and my other half stayed in the garden suite in October 2013, having read so many positive reviews I had really high expectations - and it didn't disappoint! everything about our stay was perfect - the hosts cheryl and ciaran made us feel so welcome and were very helpful showing us local places to go, recommended eateries (bistro 26 = yum!!) and gave us a discount card to use around the village and a torch to make sure we didn't step in any donkey/pony poop whilst travelling back in the evening! the room was STUNNING! breakfast was absolutely gorgeous and pumpkin the cat is a darling! honestly can't say how pleased i am with our stay and we will be recomending Daisybank to our friends and family! if anyone wants a relaxing stay in the NF with a special touch, daisybank is THE place to go

Room Tip: garden room <3 the bathroom :O :O is just wow! - its heavenly!!!

A lovely stay in a lovely B&B , with great hosts. The Garden room is a nice room with a large bathroom and a lovely huge bed. The breakfasts at Daisybank are wonderful and the service is second to none . Nothing is too much trouble for the owners Cheryl and Ciaran, even booking our isle of Wight tickets online for us so we paid a cheaper price and the lovely Birthday cupcakes left in our room to return to at night :) Daisybank is a real credit to everyone involved .

Room Tip: The Garden room has a bath and shower and a huge bed .

This B & B promised so much and did try very hard but did not deliver value for money!
We arrived at 4pm and the outside looked a bit shabby. The entrance smelt a bit stale and sadly dirty with leaves and dirt on the door mat and going into the front hall...... but our welcome was friendly. Our room was very nice, a large super king size bed with large bathroom. Ciaran was very friendly and gave us some tips for dinner but other than that we were left to our own devises. We borrowed some DVDs from the large library and settled in our room. The roll top bath was divine but when we used it, we could not help notice the peeling paint and damp patches as well as the not so luxury bubble bath. The towels were lovely but the walk in shower was difficult to turn off.
We did not like the fact that we had to decide the night before what we wanted to eat for breakfast and also the exact time we wanted to eat it, it felt very regimented and not at all spontaneous or relaxing, by the time the morning came, we were late for breakfast and I had decided we didn't want what we had ordered but we felt obliged to take what we had ordered.
The view from the breakfast room was messy and the kitchen was so dirty and unkempt - we were dubious about eating it.
This is such a difficult B & B to review, the bed was comfy and the location was peaceful but they say it is luxurious and charge a lot more than any other B & B we have stayed in in the forest, but they do not back it up with the finishing touches. We will not be staying here again as the price and description does not match what you actually get!

I dont get the amounts of good reviews on the site sorry.

We were very surprised and disappointed to read your review.
We are genuinely confused given that just before your departure you were full of praise about Daisybank and stated that you would be visiting again.
We must have misread the situation and are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay
It is a shame that you did not raise any of your concerns at the time as we would have done our utmost to rectify them.

We have just spent two glorious nights at Daisybank Cottage! We read all the previous reviews and we agree with them all wholeheartedly. It is a fantastic place to stay. So comfortable, the atmosphere so welcoming, breakfast scrumptious, we cannot recommend Daisybank Cottage too highly. Book without fear, you will be delighted!

Room Tip: The Marryat Suite is where we stayed. Splendid! The garden room you sit outside and read the paper...

Attending an evening wedding two and a half hours from home, without an overnight stay would have been foolish, and so I booked an overnight stay in the Garden Suite at Daisy bank cottage, The room was beautiful with a bathroom of " grandeur" on suite, , fabulous, with coffee and tea facilities, and everything else you would need, rather than having to take, there were even little daisy cupcakes for us to enjoy with our coffee.
The breakfast was scrummy with a wide choice of cooked breakfasts and cereals, fresh fruit juices, yoghurts, fruit ( strawberries and blueberries,) and home made granola,
my husband had a full breakfast, and I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast. They even have their own chickens!
Daisy bank cottage is perfectly located in the new forest village of Brockenhurst, you have your own personal gate fob on the automatic gates so that the ponies can't wander in from the road,
This is a perfect place for honeymooners, and anyone coming to our beautiful country from abroad would love this,
We met Keiron the owner and he was a gentleman.
This is truly lovely, and anyone staying here would get the equivalent of a 5* hotel.

Been married a year and looked for somewhere special for our weekend, my wife found it and won't let me forget how great it was. Beautiful rooms, superb breakfast, a huge bath and a superkingsize very comfortable bed. We met Pumpkin and the chickens, the highlight of my wifes weekend was to let the chickens out on sunday morning! Ciaran and Cheryl are attentive and friendly we left feeling we had made new friends. They deserve every positive comment that people have posted. We can't wait to go again.

This is the best B&B we have ever stayed at, and we have stayed at some excellent ones. It is unusual in our experience to be dealt with entirely by the host rather than the hostess (she must have been away; I see from other reports that she is usually around), but Ciaran is friendly, efficient and meticulous - and gave me a hug when we left!

Our bedroom, the Courtyard Suite, was totally wonderful: a very comfortable bed, plenty of space, and our own little courtyard with tables, chairs and a patio heater accessed via double doors from the bedroom – this was the only way into the courtyard, so it was totally private. On our second evening, we borrowed some wine glasses from Ciaran (the information booklet encourages you to do so) and sat in the courtyard sipping wine in the gentle warmth of the patio heater, and deciding that B&Bs don’t get better than this!

The shower was not a power shower, relying on the very reasonable water pressure. The shower section of the bathroom was larger than many entire bathrooms, floored with small non-slip mosaic tiles, and with a heated towel rail well out of reach of the water from the shower. The towels and shower robes were replaced every day.

Breakfast, cooked by Ciaran, and served by a young lady (daughter or employee? I didn’t ask), was perfection. Eggs laid by “the girls” at the end of the garden were fresh and delicious, and toast was served hot enough to melt the butter. My preference for fine table salt over coarse-ground salt to go with my boiled eggs was remembered on the second day – even though that day I had opted for the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. (One fills out a form to order breakfast the evening before, which means that everything proceeds totally smoothly in the morning.) The preserves were superb, including a glorious Seville marmalade to which I formed an instant addiction.

Ciaran gave us a loyalty card offering discounts at local businesses, and a parking permit for most of the car parks around the area, both of which made our explorations of the area so much easier. He also organised a taxi to take us to dinner at the Montagu Arms Hotel on our first night, and recommended an excellent place within a short walking distance for us to eat on our second night – and lent us a powerful torch so that we didn’t bump into any ponies, donkeys or their deposits!

I’m racking my brains to try and think of any problems we encountered, because there were so few! Once the plug in our bathroom basin became stuck. But of course it’s not what goes wrong; it’s how it’s dealt with that matters, and Ciaran came and fixed it at once, explaining that sometimes it formed a vacuum and refused to budge.

We will absolutely definitely return to Daisybank Cottage, and recommend anybody else to go there too!

Room Tip: We will certainly ask for the Courtyard Suite again
