“Wonderful two night stay.”

We always use trip advisor but never review where we stay. We had to review Broadlands Gate at it was simply fantastic. We stayed in the master suite and it was like having your own self contained flat! John and Brian's hospitality was perfect, great breakfasts and their recommendations for lunch and dinners were great. We have returned home very relaxed and wonder when we can visit again!!

Such a lovely place to stay, perfect hosts, beautiful and very comfortable accommodation, great breakfast, in an ideal location and two gorgeous, happy dogs - everything you need for a perfect weekend. You've got to spend a little time at John and Brian's delightful home. After two nights we came home as refreshed and relaxed as you would after 2 weeks abroad. I could go on and on, but it's much better you go and experience their hospitality. Enjoy!

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our summer holiday. The bedroom was lovely - comfortable, nice bedding, full of character. The separate sitting room was a big bonus - much more of a feeling of space and not being confined to the bedroom. John and Brian are excellent hosts, there house is amazing. Brockenhurst is a great village - plently of local shops, restaurants and bike hire. Great.

On our last weekend in the UK we wanted to do something a bit different so thought a visit to the New Forrest was a good idea, after a bit of research we decided on Brockenhurst as the place to visit and Broadlands Gate, the place to stay. John and Brian are perfect hosts and it is easy to see why they have such a good reputation. John met us at the station and gave us the low down of pubs and restaurants in the village which was so appreciated. We took up John's advice and went to the Dynasty Indian Cuisine for dinner on the Saturday and was one of the best curries we had while away. Our suite was the junior suite, at the top of the house, this was very comfortable, with a large room, small lounge and ensuite bathroom with a bath (brilliant after a cycle ride).
Breakfast was superb, John had asked when I booked for any special dietary requirements and as I am a vegetarian he and Brian catered for this with mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, baby corn as well as eggs any way I wanted. There was a great selection of fruit salads and cereal too.
By the time we left we felt like we were friends leaving, thank you John and Brian for your genuine hospitality, you made our final days in the UK memorable and we will return.

We do not usually post reviews however this is such an exceptional B&B we had to share the experience. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and special.
John and Brian are wonderful hosts, their home is beautiful and the bedrooms and separate sitting room are very comfortable and private.
They went to so much trouble to make our stay special, they even remembered it was my husband's birthday and took the trouble to leave a card on our bed? It is these little touches that make Broadlands Gate so very special.
Breakfast was brilliant and we ate in their beautiful dining room overlooking a fabulous garden. Book, you will not be disappointed!

Just returned from two night stay for my birthday cannot recommend this b&b highly enough. Nothing can be faulted, lovely home, great breakfast, spotless, extensive advice, comfy, warm, huge bed, sky TV and John and Brian look after you like family. Also great location for the village, bike hire and country walks. First night we went to the Indian in the village, good service and tasty curry. Second night we went to The Pig (approx £5 taxi ride away from train station), which made a nice treat, again lovely food, good service and lots of cocktails, bit more pricey than the local village pubs but worth visit if special occasion. You need to go here! Would love to go back in the summer and sit in their huge garden! Thank you for a nice time and looking after us John and Brian p.s Alice and Alex the dogs are great too.

Room Tip: Both rooms are great, if you want a but more room go for the Master suite.

Hospitality, congeniality and sociability at its best.
Loved the location,-even quiet for the New Forest.
Loved our room/suite. double Bedroom, bthroom/loo and separate loo.Cute lounge with sky tv. - fridge, ice buckets, glasss, bona mugs. Beyootiful home. Nothing was too much trouble. Infact we felt more like friends than paying guests........so much so we took in some flowers for them before we left for home. It's a must go to and can't wait to return.
