“One night stay - impressive”
Reviewed August 21, 2014

All staff very polite, helpful and friendly.
Food and dining area was excellent. Room was very comfortable, clean and welcoming but the view was very poor ie window looked out onto a wall / fence. we were a little concerned to leave the window open through the night with being on the ground floor.
However, our stay was lovely and it was an ideal location for us.

Hebasca is just what you would expect from a quality boutique hotel. The rooms are furnished with comfort in mind and the bed is extremely comfortable with that jump in and relax look. The bathrooms are spotlessly clean and modern with lovely toiletries. Eating at the hotel is a must as the grill style restaurant really works with a great menu. Drinking at the bar is very relaxed with a good selection of bottled beers, wines and spirits. Tom on reception was very attentive and willing to go the extra mile to please as with all the staff. The hotel is situated across the road from Bude Golf Club and only a 5 minute walk to the beach.

Room Tip: Rooms 201 & 202 have great views of the golf course and sea, book one if available.

Spent a week here in August and had a great time. Room was a little small and not much room for clothes but as we had only paid the lowest price for a standard room we thought it ok just for a week. Nice big tv on wall so you could watch it whilst lying in bed. Great shower. Hotel décor was brilliant, including restaurant and bar. Breakfasts were really good...plenty to eat and well cooked. staff were friendly.
Food in restaurant was really good but a little pricey.
Would stay there again.

This Hotel has some very good points. Firstly the staff where all fantastic with excellent customer services. The food was of a very high quality and at a reasonable price. When we arrived we were greeted well and when shown our room where a little disappointed by its size and lack of bath, so asked to change for one with a bath, the staff member showed us two alternatives with one being satisfactory. The problem was that booking via booking.com, they only show 2 room standards, standard and superior, we payed for superior, but on arrival at the hotel there was 4 options with the booking.coms superior only actually being the second best option. On first using the bath we discovered it was not a full size bath which was very disappointing. The room was very well decorated and clean, but it was very small with very little storage space and no cupboard or place for coats or luggage. We had room 103 which it turned out was a walkway past both the bedroom and bathroom windows. The staff walked past about every 20 mins normally slamming the gate on the way, so no privacy and lots of distraction. But as stated the staff where very intentive and the cocktails where good, and the decor throughout was very funky. So I think if we were to stay again and could afford it we would definitely pay for a more spacious superior room.

Room Tip: avoid room 103 as has a walkway outside the windows for staff, and you can hear everything from the...

Dear Trevor R,

Thank you for your recent review of Hebasca. We are pleased that you found our staff to have excellent customer service and the food to be of high quality. We apologise that you were not entirely happy with your room. As you point out, our staff member did try and amend the situation by showing you some alternatives, but these were not in your budget. One of the great things about Hebasca is that we have multiple room types available that are priced for slightly different budgets. We hope to welcome you back in the near future.
