“Funky fantastic hotel”

We stayed here for two nights in Autumn 2013 on a Travelzoo deal. Staff were really friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean, very nicely designed and laid out and bed was lovely and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant on both nights we were there and both of our meals on both nights were lovely. The brekkies were brilliant too, food was a really good quality. This place has in my opinion obviously been well thought out when it was designed and it is a credit to the owners / management and refreshing to see somewhere so modern in Cornwall which is still good value for money. Also got to try Japanese whiskey for the first time here, something I didn't expect to do for a weekend in the West Country..! Recommend!

Went with friends to eat at the restaurant, we ordered a large selection of food and everyone seemed to have a slightly different opinion. A lack of consistency in food quality was apparent. I had the seafood which was cooked really well however steaks that arrived to the table were not so good, over cooked and just didn't look appealing. Overpriced for what it is. The wine list was comprehensive. The decor leaves a lot to be desired. Photos of cows on the walls and people eating lots of meat was a little too much for me personally, and the decor in the bathrooms is awful, not the most laid back dining experience I've ever had. I can recommend the seafood but not much else.

We stayed for one night and had a great stay. The hotel is newly renovated, clean and tidy. Reception staff were really friendly and knowledgable. The rooms were large and well thought out. Decent shower. Breakfast was fantastic with a large number of choices and served quickly. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here

I came here because some of the locals had been saying about how great it was. Unfortunately I didnt share the same experiance. We shared a starter of anemic chicken wings in a watery sauce, my main course was the morrocan lamb which was so fatty that i had to leave it, then we shared a dessert which was the nicest part about the meal. I had 2 glasses of wine (my partner doesnt drink so he just had water) the meal came to over £60!!!! We had a window seat and as a local myself the area that Hebasca is located is in a rough part of Bude (druggies and alcoholics live next door in the apartments) I was wolf whistled at by these idiots in the car park before I even got in the resturant doors! I will not be back and neither to say will I be recommending it to any of my friends.

This was our first hotel stay in Bude and I doubt it could be beaten. Everything was just perfect, from arrival to departure. The modern décor was inviting and added mystery to the experience. Everything was perfectly clean and ready for guests in a room with a spectacular view across the golf course and out to sea. The short complementary drive down (400 yards) to eat a deliciously and fresh evening meal at the sister hotel (Tommy Jacks Beach Hotel) was no problem at all and added to the excitement. The décor there was also modern and with a beach feel (with the owners own personal surfboard and others hung around) it quickly got you in the mood for a weekend by the sea. We look forward to seeing the large tropical fish tanks due to be built into the bar area next time. Back at the Hebaska, we had a quiet and very relaxing night's rest to awake to enjoy a bright sunny morning and the great views. Breakfast was up to scratch in a comfortable dining area. I was surprised that the hotel was only rated 3* as I would have given it 5 star.

Room Tip: Only stayed in a front room with great views but well worth it.

Hotel was fine but when I visited the restaurant was out of order. In fairness they offered to drive me to a sister restaurant down the road, but when I booked over the phone nobody told me the restaurant was not available. They should have done so.

So if you intend visiting worth checking this. Otherwise fine - room nice.

Had a lovely weekend in Bude (except for the weather) in January 2014. We booked Hebasca through a Travel Zoo deal which included breakfast and a meal on the first night. First impressions of the hotel were that it had recently been updated and to a good standard. It was nice to have a modern feel about the hotel as sometimes seaside hotels are traditional and dated but Hebasca certainly isn't. The room was a bit small but this was due to our requirements of needing a ground floor room with a bath but overall it was a nice room and a decent bathroom. The bed was really comfortable. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much for them. Breakfast selection and quality was good. For the dinner we went to the sister hotel Tommy Jacks which was also recently refurbished. The food was good and the bar had some good cocktails.
