Cider house has all the home from home comforts that you could wish to find. Also, plenty of cutlery and china. Not just 4 of each which is annoying. We first stayed at this site in 2010, and have been back to Cider cottage a few times now. We plan to return again in the near future
A really lovely comfortable cottage. The owners have thought of everything and are very welcoming. Ideal situation as very quiet but close enough to local beaches and towns. The fact it has its own private garden and bbq is a real bonus. No hesitation in recommending this cottage.
We stayed here last summer (2017) for a week. We were looking for somewhere quiet but well situated for visiting family in Launceston as well as good access to Bude and the environs.
The attention to detail was evident even before we arrived as, knowing my youngest daughter has been diagnosed with autism, Clare sent lots of extra photos so she could familiarise herself even more with the cottage and area before arrival.
It was lovely after a long drive to arrive to find provisions to make a cream tea! We found it extremely easily.
Cider cottage was perfect for us a family of four. There was plenty of space both inside and outside the property to make ourselves right at home. Everything had been thought of and knowing that should we need anything we just had to pop next door was great.
The cottage was extremely well equipped and very comfortable. The weather being at times against us it was really cosy and warm especially when it was raining outside.
The children used the games room (OK and the adults too) most days and even challenged other guests to table football. We enjoyed meeting the pigs and popped to say hello quite a few times.
Situated where it was it was extremely quiet and cut off from the bustle of main tourist areas. We were however extremely impressed with the nearest shop which we used to buy what we needed to self cater. They have a cafe also.
Had we had more time we would have done more walking around the area as it was beautiful and we loved the views from both the front and back of the cottage.
Easy access from the cottage to Bude and the beaches. We actually visited also a number of the cornish Castles over the week all of which were an hour and a half or less away.
We will definitely book here again when we do come to visit family.
Really recommend as a place to stay where you can just relax and recharge. If you have any questions prior to arrival the owners go above and beyond to make things perfect.
Cider Cottage is part of a converted farmyard (Well Farm Cottage) in North Tamerton which is about 10 miles out of Bude. There are six properties that are on offer, ranging from a glamping pod to a large farm house. We stayed in Cider Cottage, this is a charming cottage where the cider press used to reside. It is clean and modern but the owners have managed to retain the character of the building. Great internet and TV if this is your thing. Playing area for the children and a games room. The main reasons that we will be rebooking next year are, firstly the location, this is a great part of Cornwall amazing beaches and awesome surf. Secondly, clean modern and well equipped accommodation which was warm and had loads of character. Thirdly and most importantly the owners are really friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our children got to feed the pigs and Claire the owner was very helpful. Michael lives in the Wesley Barn is the font of all the local knowledge and quite frankly a bit of a legend!
Treat yourself to a relaxing break you won’t be disappointed
We are Wellfarm repeat customers, so far staying in the Glampimg Pod and Miller's Rest. Both stunning. So for a change we tried Cider Cottage and wow, we were not disappointed. What a charming cottage. 2 beautiful bedrooms, a double bed in one and 2 singles in the next. A large bathroom with bath and electric shower. Plus a heater. Large kitchen and breakfast bar, with a door leading to a rear courtyard and bbq. Good sized front room with dining table, two leather armchairs and leather sofa. All the equipment you could need and more for self catering, even a washing machine and coffee maker. Superb. Stunning views and such a welcoming group of hosts. Clare and family are a real delight, they have built an amazing business but always put their guests first. A must visit and now with the addition of 2 super cute piggies! Thank you all again, Chris, Paula and Katie.
My family has had a peaceful and blissfully relaxing stay the whole week watching the Sunset & sunrise from our back door each day!
My girls love the little piggies here Raspberry & Rhubarb and the little chicks being raised in there pen.
Overall the cottage is lovely and very homely and warm, and the Horn family greeted us and made us very welcome too.
Cider Cottage is very warm and very welcoming for any family,it has everything you need Home from Home, would i stay here again.......yes I would!
Beautifully restored farm building providing very comfortable accommodation. The family who own the farm were very welcoming and gave really useful advice about where to visit. Our son loved being able to go to the field to say hello to the pet pigs each day and to help collect eggs from the hens. There are fantastic beaches a short car journey away and lovely countryside walks near the cottage. We had such a good holiday that we have booked to stay again next year.
