It's very definitely at the guest house end of the hotel spectrum and the bedrooms could do with refurbishment. but provided you don't want frills it's a really good base for exploring the area. All of the staff are wonderfully friendly and very helpful, and there's a really nice atmosphere in the pub bit. The real surprise was the quality of the restaurant - far above what you'd expect, and very reasonably priced. Breakfasts were good too.
The hot water flow was pretty feeble, but that's the only real complaint.
If you like modern, chain hotels you'll hate it, but if you value charm over modernity then this a good place for youMore
