“What a delightful weekend break!!”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

Our first time at Burn Park and we really enjoyed our weekend. The accommodation was clean and extremely spacious. The furniture was good quality and very comfortable. A loveley welcome pack on arrival, very friendly and helpful staff. We did not use the Bar or swimming pool area as we were out and about. Such a good location for visiting cornwall and north devon. We were very lucky with the weather, t-shirts in October!! So the pleasant stroll down to bude was loveley. Some loveley pubs and eateries in Stratham a short walk or drive away. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We stayed in Chudleigh 5 which was furnished and decorated to a very high standard. Ample parking an...

Overall we enjoyed our weekend and Burn Park is a good base for exploring the area, there is a lovely 10 minute walk using a public footbath down into the town. Bude itself is interesting and is full of pubs, restaurants and shops, plus the beach itself and there are many places to stroll.
I agree with previous reviews about Burn Park itself, in that the complex looks tired and dated. We stayed in a unit for 2 people which was basic one room + bathroom, studio style accommodation. Areas of the unit where dusty it appeared as though only visible areas had been vacuumed, and the tiles around the bath were the shower was could have done with bleaching to remove black mould spots. But it was adequate for a couple, it was spacious, the furniture was good quality, the bed was comfortable and there was a well equipped kitchen, and a two-person dining area. There were two leather armchairs and a good size flat screen TV. The place was lovely and warm too and the welcome pack of butter, jam, bread, biscuits etc was nice.
We had this 3-night weekend on a special offer which was was super, but I work in marketing and I definetly would not have made Burn Park one of the offer options to encourage new members to buy into Seasons! If anything it would put people off if this resort in the Seasons group was the first they got to sample! We used the almost empty bar on the first night, they only serve food in a two hour slot in the evenings on a few nights a week, the night we arrived, (Friday), not being one of them, so didn't go there again. The whole place including the pool facilites appeared deserted, but this could have been down to the apalling weather keeping guests in their apartments?
We did get lost trying to find Burn Park as its not signposted off the main A road as far as we could see, and our SatNav didn't even get us close using the postcode. The best tip is to get a Google map, (or the map on your mobile phone) and look for Stratton Hospital, which is in Hospital Road. The top of this road joins the main A route and the road diagonally opposite, called 'Poundsfield', is were you need to be, you will find the sign for Seasons ahead.
We would be more than happy to stay at Burn Park again as it stands, but a refurb could make it fabulous, just like Clowance, the other Seasons resort in Cornwall.

First residential return to Burn for many years and although blessed with a glorious October weekend was sad to see the resort slightly run down and dated. Units are basic, adequate and comfortable and the site retains a peaceful setting with good access to Bude from the walk across the golf course but with the restaurant closed, the bar deserted and entertainment limited to one evening a week the resort lacks the atmosphere of previous years.

Clean but very tired. Bar area old fashioned, dark and uninviting. No wonder it is empty of custom. Not impressed with Leisure facilities - did not enter the pool - did not look inviting at all. We could have been the only people on site - hardly saw anyone. Overall a disappointment for a holiday. don't go if you want a some social side to your trip!!

We enjoyed a lovely 4 nights at Burn Park.
Our accommodation was very good, but a bit 'tired' and in need of some TLC.
The bar area is in desperate need of modernisation.
The swimming pool and Jacuzzi are lovely.
The location is brilliant - just a 15 minute walk into Bude.

Had a lovely stay in Bude. We could not fault the accommodation, it was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Excellent parking. Only downside is wifi not being accessible unless you visit the Bar. Good location and there is s pleasant walk into Bude. A lovely part of Cornwall with many interesting places to visit within a short drive of the site. Would have liked a little more sun but perhaps next time........

Room Tip: We stayed in Chudleigh which was excellent.
