Description: Rosie's Kitchen is a family run bustling beachside café situated a stones throw from Crooklet's surfing beach in Bude. Rosie's is positively bursting with atmosphere and we offer a warm welcome to everyone. We are a modern diner with Cornish charm offering delicious beachside food. We have an enclosed sundeck overlooking the amazing waves of the Atlantic Ocean complete with wood burner to keep you toasty on colder days. We know that it's hungry work building sandcastles and scouring rock pools so we have a menu for all the family. Make time for fun in our enclosed outdoor play area where you can keep an eye on your little treasures. Kick back and relax with a delicious fresh coffee, marvelous milkshake or something more refreshing from our bar. At Rosie's, all food is cooked fresh to order using lovely local produce where possible.

went to rosies after people raved about it was not impressed over priced for the portion size no presentation to speak of and although the bacon waffles looked amazing they were very doughy the only saving grace was we were welcomed by very friendly staff

A great looking cafe that is clearly popular with locals and visitors alike, but I found two portions of take away chips to be grossly over priced with a very small portion of chips and worst of all under cooked fish with pale and insipid batter.
Reading other reviews this is clearly not typical but I was left sorely disappointed and having driven away to a scenic spot to eat the meal it was not worth the effort to return and complain. The seagulls had a treat!

Popped in whilst out for a stroll at Bude. I had the Red Hot Banger sandwich, and my wife the chicken and bacon (sans Mayo, which they happily obliged to). The sausages were top drawer, as was the sweet and spicy home made onion chutney. Two marvellous Oreo milkshakes, which shames GBKs effort. It is what I would describe as American Diner with English warmth and sentiment. Lovely decor and great food and service. Recommended

We visited here on the first day of our holiday and returned two more times. It is child friendly with a great atmosphere. There is a wood burner, bunting on the windows, burgers, Ice cream sundaes and plenty of space for prams. Right next to the beach and play areas I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast, lunch or ice cream treats!

We just spent a week in Bude and went to Rosie's kitchen 7 times - we loved it! Really relaxed and friendly place with a cosy log burner meant on the chilly Easter weather it was very warm and snug place to warm up with a hot chocolate. The hot chocolates are gorgeous and very reasonably priced - we always had the full works with cream and marshmallows. We had breakfast twice - lovely and the fish and chips was also fantastic - locally line caught cod.

It is situated right by Crooklets beach and has a nice little play area outside for the kids to play while you drink your hot chocolate. Even if you sit inside you can still see them. There is a small amusement arcade inside for the kids too (separate room so you can't hear it). An ice cream parlour counter too looked good but too cold for ice creams while we where there. The menu also featured lovely looking waffles with various toppings but we ran out of time and room in the tummy so never got to try these.
Definitely recommend you go here when in Bude, it may not have the view of the other beach café (Lifes a Beach) but it is a much better atmosphere, better menu and better value for money.

Review by our daughter Molly aged 7:
