We managed to get a booking at very short notice and so pleased we did!. Located on the edge of an insutrial estate we didn't think things would bode well - but thankfully we were quite wrong. The industrial estate is only one side - the other side is the river. It has a sister Tapas Bar located a few yards away. The cafe is quite small with a dozen or so tables. It is decorated in a contemporary style with tables of differing sizes fairly well spaced. There is some outside seating but we couldn't recommend the view! We were warmly welcomed into the cafe and shown straight to our reserved table. Once sat down it was easy to forget the location. Our waiter (George?) was very friendly and super efficient. We ordered local mackerel for starter and Sea Bass / Cod for mains. The food arrived quickly and was hot and quite delicious - it is definitely the best fish we have eaten in Bude! Desserts were quite delicious and the chocolate fondant and warm lemon tart come highly recommended. Dishes are fairly well priced and there is a nice if not huge wine list. This is a lovely little place that delivers without fuss and without the rampaging crowds of the larger resturants in Bude. The shining glory of this place is the staff. I am surprised about other less than complimentary comments about the food from a previous reviewer and I am certain that if they asked the team to replace the food they would have jumped at the chance to improve on their offering. Highly recommended - don't miss the chance to go there.
