“Back to nature camping at its finest”

We spent a week here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Campsite staff were lovely and friendly facilities were fine. Composting toilets are composting toilets but they were cleaned daily so fine and dandy. Showers were warm but not hot but a lovely refreshing wake up in my opinion. We had breakfast in the cafe every morning freshly laid eggs from their rescued ex battery hens along with fresh hot real coffee cooked on an outside stove. Our daughter delighted in visiting the animals and throwing the ball for the lovely border collie Flipper.
We will be back this is by far the most chilled out camp site we've found in the UK.

We camped here last year and enjoyed the spirit/ethos of the campsite so much we returned again over the summer solstice period.
We could go on about the amenities but we think other people have covered that. Suffice to say they met our needs completely.
Cerenety we found to be a warm welcoming & relaxing place to camp with splendid hosts who would help you in any way they could. A cup, or vat, of tea & one of Cellis egg & bacon sandwiches cooked over an open fire every morning was a lovely way to start the day.
After spending the day doing holiday style things we'd light a campfire and and responsibly quaff a few ales and chat to other campers watch the stars & have a laugh..
Everyone we met there, be they guests, volunteers or owners, were positive helpful and friendly.
We loved it.

I stay at this site a lot: Jake is a great host, and her team of volunteers are always ready and willing to lend a hand.

The site has a cool, laid -back feel, and it's the only site i know that allows open fires, which are great when then temperature drops in the evening.

I'm a volunteer surf instructor, and there's always a few surfers at the site, which always make for a friendly vibe.

All in all, it's easily one of the best campsites in the South West (as long as you don't want bingo and slot machines).

Just home from a couple of nights camping at Cerenety. Lovely little campsite - very relaxed and friendly. Campfires, solar showers (nice and hot!) and friendly farm animals which you can help to feed. About a 15-20 walk along the canal into Bude itself. Would definitely go back. Nice, quiet, chilled out campsite.

My family and I stayed over half term for a short break. We found everyone helpful and friendly and my son especially loved having a part in looking after and feeding the animals. It is clean and well maintained and we felt that Jake and her daughter Celli are very welcoming and can't do enough for you. Can't recommend them and their site more!

I took my 3 year old son for a camping experience to cerenety whilst my wife studied for an exam over a weekend. Lovely friendly campsite and my 3 year old loved the hands on experience with all the different animals. Especially laying in the field with the kid goat and his mum, saying that so did I. If you love camping without all the big site gimmicks and prices then this place is well worth a stay. Loved the fact I could light a fire outside the tent and sit back and get mesmerised by the flames. Will most definitely be back there soon

Room Tip: Camping but they do rent out tents if your lazy which are erected for you..

I stayed at cerenety for three nights over the bank holiday weekend. The first night we spend in a tent which was rather tiny so on the latter two nights we stayed in the bell tent. The bell tent is spacious and a lovely novelty as we thought we would be staying in a tent! There is a gas camping stove and BBQ provided for your use. There is also a double bed for those that would like a little more comfort.

The owners and volunteers were very friendly and helpful. They were happy to give us directions and advise us on local attractions. They also brought wood up to the campsite for your fire which was inexpensive. The volunteers let us feed the lambs and we were allowed to go in to the fields and pet the animals which is great for kids and adults a like. We had the company of the owners friendly collie one night who sat up next to our camp fire for the evening.

Being able to have a fire was great as that is all part of camping but unfortunatley most camp sites go health and safety crazy these days! I was a little reserved at the thought of composting toilets but these were always clean and not smelly at all! I always had a hot shower and the showers were clean.

It is only a 20 minute walk in to bude or £4 in a taxi to the campsite if you have a load of bags to carry. There is a stunning walk a long the coast path or you can walk in to Bude next to the canal.

We will definitley be returning to cerenety very soon! Great for a peaceful break away with stunning views.
