Margaret Frost is a local legend in Bude. She does a lot for the local community and charities alike. She also owns and runs the Rustic Tea Room at Northcott Mouth just north of Bude. The garden where the Tea Room is located has a lovely stream that goes through down the 10-20 yards to Northcott Mouth beach. Stunning views of countryside, beach and sea will accompany a Cornish Cream Tea or just a cup of coffee, and a friendly chat.

Well worth the visit, every time.

Marge you are a star. What a set up this wonderful, unique lady has. Often pop out on a dog walk with a couple of dogs and a friend, always met with the most amazing smile and banter from Marge. Went there again this morning with a friend had a wicked cream tea and got change from £5, dogs got given biscuits and were allowed to play in the stream. A friendlier tea room you will not find anywhere. Anyone criticising this set up need to question themselves, what did they really expect from a Caravan in a field Claridges? My son was a lifeguard at Northcott over 10 years ago and worked there for 3 seasons, no one could have been kinder than this lady, in fact every time he visits fromLondon he makes a point of visiting dear Marge. Marge you are a true legend and a former Bude Citizen of the year, please do not ever change what you do. Maria x

Beautiful location but average cream tea, have had much better elsewhere. Margaret is certainly friendly and location is excellent however I would not go out of my way to come here again, it's fine if you are exploring the local area and need sustenance after a long walk or a few hours on the beach but nothing outstanding. I would have expected a pot of tea rather than just a mug and although the cream tea was enough for me it comprised of just one scone which was pre bought and not home made and was already sliced and made up with jam and cream. We also had a slice of chocolate cake & a milkshake for our toddler and the milkshake was sadly not home made and made up from an instant powder and I can make better cake myself and I'm no great cook! Also watch out for the wasps as there were loads during our visit.

Now then, if you are going to Bude, in Cornwall, YOU HASVE TO GO TO Margaret's Rustic Tea Rooms. I cannot say enough about this most amazing little find, and its owner Margaret.
You have to come up from the beach at Northcott Mouth, you make a turn to the right after you reach the pebbled the pebbled part, just after the small lifeguard station, which is on your left.
You drive some 400m along an un-adopted road and you will then see a wondrous sight, a Nene Valley type caravan set in beautiful grounds with an array of natural wood benches and garden furniture, but wait the greatest joy and surprise is yet to come....Margaret herself.
Once we parked up we walked to the caravan with our by now very weary little Bichons who had had there fill of sunshine and sea. They were greeted as we were with an extremely warm smile, a voice with laughter in it, and customers in front of us who were laughing there heads off. Their source of entertainment....Margaret!
Well it was our turn, firstly I will say that our tea was a great hot steaming mug, and the scone cream and jam, all made by the lady herself was absolutely amazing. And she was so kind and friendly to our two doggies she made our day. So much so that we returned at the end of our holiday to say goodbye till we see her next summer.
I cannot recommend more highly Margaret's humour, love and kindness. That little area was so humbling and full of joy and happiness. Thanks for helping to make our holiday so nice Margaret.
And by the way, only a week back and we have finished off all your Jam and Onion relish that we bought from you.
Next August cannot come soon enough.xxx
