We were a party of 6 adults and The Crescent suited us very well. The house was very clean and the beds comfortable. One downside for us, was the fact that while this property is large, there are 2 living rooms, both small, so while there was sufficient seating for 6 of us, we were a bit cramped. Having said that, for families with children the two rooms would be ideal.
The kitchen was well appointed and perfect for large groups. There were plenty of mugs and glasses, which is always good to see. The first morning we woke to find no cafetiere (#firstworldproblems), and within an hour of my sending an email, one arrived on our doorstep - and this was a Sunday.
The parking is reached from a rough track and I wish we had known this in advance. One of our cars has a low chassis and we only just managed to scrape down it.
We visit Bude regularly, as we have family living in the town, and would happily return to The Crescent.
Very good location for town pubs, shops ,restaurants ,harbour and beach. The house appears to be recently refurbished to a high level and is well equipped with all that a family requires for a comfortable stay.We were celebrating a "senior" birthday with three familes totalling eight people aged from 11 to 70 and it all worked out very well with plenty of room. There are plenty of local places to eat, bike hire, beach & small harbour are within easy walking distance.
Very minor downside during the week when we reported that a bath leaked as it emptied (agent rang on our return home to advise that it was been attended to) and we felt that a comprehensive house welcome pack should be made available to explain a few more details such as central heating use, rubbish disposal, etc.
Private parking access via rear rough track is fairly tight for large cars but very convenient.
Super cottage, with plenty to see and do locally and within easy travel distance of Bude.
