Description: Imagine…….. sitting on the veranda of a restaurant which nestles among rugged cliffs, gazing at the golden sands and the sea, stained scarlet, as the sun sets. Is this the Italian Riviera? No, this is Life’s a Beach, overlooking Summerleaze beach in Bude, Cornwall, where the location and the cuisine are as fine as any in the world. The wide ranging menu uses fresh local produce and reflects the creativity and travelling experiences of the young chefs. Seafood is a speciality, prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly. The restaurant opens at 7pm but during the day it transforms into a facility for beach goers. There is an ice cream parlour, a beach shop and a café where meals, snacks and drinks can be enjoyed on the premises overlooking the beach or taken away.‘Lifes a Beach’ is already highly acclaimed as the place to eat out in Bude, so why not come and judge for yourself?

During the day this lovely cafe situated above the beautiful sandy Summerleaze Beach in Bude caters to everyone from those who fancy a quick coffee to large family groups wanting a delicious brunch. The view over the beach and out to sea cannot be bettered and the food is good, locally produced and reasonably priced with something to suit all tastes, but it is in the evening when this delightful place comes into it's own. It turns into an amazing bistro that specialises in locally sourced seafood the menu items are wonderful and the specials are always fabulous. There used to be an accoustics problem in the evening which made sounds tinny and harsh on the ear but this has been sorted out with the use of baffles on the ceiling which soak up the sound which makes it a much better dining experience. The staff are friendly and the service is very good, I thoroughly recommend a visit to this lovely restaurant if you are visiting beautiful Bude but booking is essential in the evenings at the weekends pretty much all year.

From a casual lunch menu with splendid daily specials to a top class restaurant in the evenings with good service and cosy atmosphere! There is always local fresh fish on the menu. It is rumoured that Rick Stein eats here when he's home and if he does, he won't be disappointed.
And there is the view!

This is a regular haunt for coffee and breakfast while watching the dog walkers on the beach and the surfers out in the ocean. Nothing too sophisticated just good quality in a marvelous setting.
