“Great stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2012 via mobile

Stayed for two nights on a tour of Scotland. Welcoming place, very clean, staff friendly. Beautiful room with comfy beds. Breakfast great (though, I'm sorry, I don't like haggis!). Guest house positioned conveniently for Callendar. Would have liked staff to show more interest in and offer advice/information about what we were planning to do with our days, especially as weather was awful. Otherwise, a great place to stay and i'd recommend this place.

Had a lovely one night stay at Glengarry Guest House this weekend. The room was very comfy, had free fast wifi, tea and coffee and a telly and both the room and ensuite bathroom were spotlessly clean too. Breakfast the next morning was tasty and the proprietors were very friendly and nice. Would highly recommend this B&B if you are visiting the Callander area! Thanks for a great night's stay!

Best cooking, best room, best people (Evelyne & Archie). Glengarry has been the scale vote for all the other accomodations.

We stayed in this B&B for one night as we were cycling the Lochs and Glens route. We arrived soaked to the skin but were rewarded with a really warm welcome and the offer to tumble dry our wet clothes. really comforatable and excellently cooked breakfast in the morning.

Room Tip: Ask for the big double

Stayed only one night at the Glengarry and found it a great place for the price. The house is very neat and nicely furnished. The rooms are spacious and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed being able to walk into town rather than use the car. The innkeeper was friendly. We'd stay there again.

Long time since I last stayed in a B&B/Guest House. usually stay in a local hotel when on golfing trips. However I must say that I was very impressed by the Glengarry. parking, well appointed, very clean bright rooms and much larger than I expected. Good room facilities and very friendly owners/staff. The breakfast was excellent although possibly limited in choice with regard to cooked part. Full Scottish was on offer which was fine for all of us but not sure if another choice was available those with less robust stomachs! Would definitely stay there again if in that area.

This is one of the cheapest B&B's we have stayed at and fits the saying you get what you pay for. The room was clean and looked pleasant with a comfortable bed. The central heating appears to be on a timer which you cannot adjust yourself. It was on for maybe an hour or two in the evening. We found the duvets to be quite thin with no extra blankets in the room and subsequently we were a little cold, in June! The breakfast offered was a choice of cereals, pottels of yoghurt and a full scottish breakfast. We were disappointed there were no options to pick and choose from a breakfast menu, for example there was no option for a couple of poached eggs on toast. The full scottish breakfast was bacon, sausage, tomato, mushroom and what looked like a pikelet was of rather average quality. Toast was also provided, a mix of brown and white bread, though we think it is good practise to ask what is preferred as we do not like to eat white bread. Coffee tasted like instant.

We did find the proprietors to be welcoming and friendly and would recommend on the basis of someone wanting a no frills option.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not on the ground floor, we were next to the dining room and were woken early with pe...
