“Superb B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2007

We stayed at the Lenymede B&B as part of a short winter trip to Scotland and it was undoubtedly the nicest place that we stayed.
We had the largest of the three rooms on offer, large being the operative word, which was very nicely furnished with a very comfortable king size bed. The TV had a freeview box which meant a lot more channels than usual. (A small point I know, but quite nice at this time of year when it gets dark around 4pm).
Breakfast was taken in the conservatory which looks out over a large garden leading down to the local river. It was a nice setting for breakfast at this time of year but it must be just wonderful in spring and summer.
The breakfast itself was among the best we have had. Pretty much the standard choice but the quality of the food was way above standard and what's more cooked exactly as you wanted it.
Which brings us onto the best feature; nothing was too much trouble for our host. She was the epitome of hospitality and helpfulness. Although this is not a part of Scotland that we visit a great deal we certainly hope that we have another chance to stay here again.

Stayed here for one night and just wished it could have been longer. The booking was simple & efficient, the welcome & helpful service from Sue was second to none and as for the breakfast........I managed to finish it all, somehow, and it was the best I've had anywhere. Even a few spare sausages provided for my dog. The garden is beautiful, going all the way down to the river and the rooms superb. As I was on my own I was in the "smaller" room which was still huge, so I can only imagine what the "larger" rooms are like! Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Stayed at Lenymede for one night in May 2005. Perfection; from the friendly welcome, lovely room and surroundings to the superb breakfast. The location is ideal for exploring Callander and the surrounding countryside. Lenymede is on the edge of town and provides a welcome escape from the bustle of Callander. The beautiful gardens stretch down to the river and the walking trail to Strathyre is two minutes walk away. Would recommend Lenymede to anyone travelling in this area and will definitely return soon.
